  1. Hi my name is Fay I'm 29, I suffered a SAH 2 years ago now, I feel I have fully recovered. I have recently found out I'm expecting (I'm currently 10 weeks, were over the moon) I am due an MRI scan in June to check on my other aneurysm which I have and my current one which was coiled off. I contacted my consultant and spoke to the nurses which have taken care of my after care and have been brillant. I spoke to them and they didn't seem to concerned they didn't want to see me and they said there is no link to pregnancy and brain aneurysm but they would let the consultant know about my news. They changed my MRI date till after my due date. I was just wondering if anyone has gone on to have a child and what care they got from there consultant? Or am I panicking over nothing? I worried when I push there's a lot of pressure on my head. thanks in advance xx
  2. Thanks everyone. I do have another one but its tiny and there's more risks of its operated on so hopefully it will never have to be. Just back at the QMC hospital every 18months
  3. Im 27 and suffered my SAH in June 2015.....what a shocker!!! I have amamzed my self, family, friends and also my consultant!! I was back to work full time by The middle of Aug 2015 ( though I wasn't allowed to do a lot) head aches gone and finally was starting to forget about my illness My MRI scan in December six months after my SAH was as they wanted, I also have another one which they are monitoring every 18 months. So I have another 18months appointment free! I'm now back driving It was like I never had it, I can not believe how much has changed, this time last year I never knew of my SAH. I never thought the day would come were it would not cross my mind, I can go days without thinking about what happened. In such a good place right now! Though don't get me wrong I do play on it with my boyfriend when It's my turn to cook lol!
  4. Hello, nice to hear your on the mend! wow we must of been in the Leicester royal and the queens med at the same time. I suffered mine on the 15th June this year too and was transferred to the QMC from the royal in the evening. I unfortunaly had to have the coiling. I'm only 27 so age was on my side I returned work within 5weeks and have my first follow up appointment on Thursday at the QMC im so nervous I don't know what to expect. I hope you continue to get better
  5. I'm a senior dental nurse so I rushed around like mad before, work have been amazing I'm off with full pay and I go in and sit on reception a few mornings a week I'm not allowed to do anything but it's stimulation for my brain the agreement is when I want to go home I can do. Talking to patients about general life or booking another appointment makes me forget about my problem if I sit at home it's all I think about, I hope this goes with time? I struggle with the what could of happened but I need to realise how lucky I am and your right I might think about part time life is to short. I can not wait to look back and a year has passed Well done for doing 5k that's amazing I haven't done any fitness yet I'm on my 6th week so maybe I should think about it soon. Fay x
  6. Thanks guys just all such a shock I haven't had a day off work in seven years now I'm having 3 months off I'm climbing the walls lol but being well looked after. Just starting to come to terms with it emotionally which I'm assuming takes time. I can not believe how much something could change your life so much in a positive way! Thanks I'm finding it so comforting on here that I'm not the only one xxx
