  1. Seems mad that six years ago when I woke in the morning little did I know how much my life would change within 12 hours. There have been many ups and downs, job changes and friend changes, life is similar but different. I can’t say it’s worse as I now can’t remember what life was like pre-bleed lol! But I do know that life is slower. Will take a run this morning, something I was doing when I had my bleed. May even run past the spot where I first felt that awful headache, confident that it won’t recur today. For all of you behind me in your time line,

  2. Hello Clare, also a big well done 6 years on. So glad you didn't choose to give up your running. It's been great to follow the different distance challenges you've set over the years. Well done for facing your SAH journey challenges, and changing life and work when you knew change was the right thing to do. Change for you wasn't admitting failure but rather embracing an opportunity to do things differently. Thanks for your helpful and encouraging posts to members ...much appreciated. Keep on running and enjoying life. 😊

  5. Hi again Shazza, I'm glad to hear you will be off work again. Take that time to really relax and rest. I feel you about wine. We are the same! Haha. I would wait a while longer though. Wine and meds assuming you are taking some is not a good mix. The after effects is not worth it and I am speaking from experience. 😆

  6. Well, today is my 17th SAH anni-versary. Where have all those years gone? Still enjoying life to the best of my ability although, like just about everybody, the last 12 months have been hard and I think, will be hard for the next months to come. I actually found out I share this anni-versary with the launch of Facebook 17 years ago today. Wish I had as much money as Mark Zuckerberg . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Facebook#:~:text=Facebook is a social networking service launched as,Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.

  9. Thank you guys. I'm just finding it all frustrating for me as I'm so independent but I will get there slowly. X

  10. Hi Shazza I echo all that the others have said earlier. You really need to take a little more time off to help your recovery. I too like a glass of wine but whilst it isn't a no, no, you need to be aware that it will affect you more post bleed. I was told that it has double the effect and I certainly don't need much now before I feel it! I also find alcohol affects my memory much more than before so be careful. Keep taking it slowly - that's your recovery and the wine! Clare xx

  11. Thank you all, really appreciate you replying. I also love wine and I know drinking it can cause more problems. Any advice? X

  12. John It seems that progress is being made and from prima facie evidence (albeit verbal) you seem to have quite good results. I'm afraid that you are experiencing the sort of delays we all experience with the DVLA so there's no surprises there. They aren’t picking on you, it is merely the way things are there, compounded by the Covid shambles of course! Expect to wait for some time but don't be afraid to call every other day just to find out how the review is going. I had, eventually, to make a formal complaint as I was told I was a priority case yet heard no
