  1. Just had a phone call from the hospital: my coils are all functioning properly and everything is as they’d expect. Repeat scan in 12 months. I’m currently grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Such a relief. Mustn’t think about 12 months’ time just get on with life 🎉🎉 Sally xx

  2. After watching this video in November I thought it was time to make some changes. So three month later I feel better than I ever have since my SAH. I would like to say that it’s down to me, but it’s mostly down to COVID. Lockdown has eliminated most of my triggers, plus I’ve done very little work. Self isolating twice, two weeks off over Christmas, two weeks off hurt my back, plus floods and snow. Trouble is next three months I have a lot of catching up to do, after seeing how good life can be I'm determined to make changes. It will be interesting to

  3. Thanks, Subs! The timing of this NASAH is strangely fortuitous, given that we've been in a mandatory shelter-in-place order for almost the last year. Many of the things I used to do that would aggravate my head right now--movies, concerts, happy hours, restaurants, travel--aren't happening. So there's no problem with "FOMO" (or "fear of missing out," in case you hadn't seen that one.) I've actually been enjoying this time with my wife and cats, getting some reading done, watching lots of movies, walking the neighborhood, and listening to music. And, of course, taking naps!

  4. Hello Shazza glad you have found us on BTG. Re the wine/alcohol I was told that I mustn’t drink any at all as it would affect my balance and dizziness much more than usual. I have found many 0% alcohol alternative wines, beers and spirits which are generally quite good. Need to try different ones to find one that suits you but I’ve found they are generally pretty good. 6. This topic is me to a T. Wow, it's about time I heard more about this. This is the kind of thing you get here and nowhere else. My doc said what they call this is "need for cognitive rest". You need cognitive rest. I put headphones on when people are blabbermouthing and it annoys me trivial conversations when I'm trying to concentrate. Some people think I'm probably a jerk, but they don't understand what I'm doing.
