  1. I received such a pamphlet when I was sent from the hospital were I was coiled and to my local hospital. For 3 months until I went back for a followup, that pamphlet was like a lifeline for me. It's just a piece of paper with some basic info about SAH, but it answerd a lot of my questions in that early phase.
  2. In my family, I'm the only one who have suffered from SAH/ stroke. But my grandfather died from a heartattack when he was 60. People usually gets quite old in my family. My mothers dad just turned 93 and is still pretty healthy.
  3. I use the calendar and notes on my mobile phone. (The calendar for things to be done. Notes for things to remember like what to by at the supermarket). I allso have a white board by the door, so everytime I leave my appartement, I have to look at it. I know people who sync their mobile phone with outlook.
  4. The only reason I got, when I wanted to donate blood was that I couldn't because of my medical history. My only medical history is SAH.
  5. It's Anders. I have a new laptop, and there are some problems with the keys. That's why there came ss at the end of Anders.
  6. I need to have one or two naps during daytime. Depends what I've been doing that day. (It's like my brain is filled up with information, and the only way to empty it is by sleeping). I allso need to relax in the evening. Then I turn of the TV and read some comic books. (I don't have the consentration to sit down and read normal books anymore). At night I more often have crazy dreams and nightmares than I used to before i got sick.
  7. I just need to take everything in small doses. Not to much tv. Not to much radio. Don't read to much newspapers, and not spending to much time with other people. If I follow these rules, my head don't get to bad.
  8. It's a small world. I live in Kristiansand.
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I think I allso suffer from something similar. The only problem is that I'm not able to describe realy how it feels. It's just a weird feeling that goes throug my head many times every day. Not like headache. Karen. I have a dog to keep med busy. A small cairn terrier with his own opinions.
  10. Hello. I appoligise if my english is a little bit bad, but it's my second language. I had my SHA 4 years and 1 day ago, at 05 december 2005, at around 0100 in the morning. I was 28 years old. I came home from Korea 5 minutes before the aneurysm burst. They don't operate SHA at my local hospital, so they sent my with an ambulaceplane to Oslo where they coiled the aneurysm. After 4 years of trying different kinds of jobs and jobtraining, it was decided to give me an early retirement, at the age of 32. I have big problems with fatigue, some headaces and sometimes I'm a little bit sound sensitive. I allso have some cognitive problems. Strangely enough, it took me allmost 4 years to find this webpage.
