  1. Thanks ladies, I'll take your advice. It's trying to ignore the comments which annoy me. Okay enough moaning, I'm smiling now look
  2. Hi Bagpuss & Louise, thanks for your support. I've put a couple of links on my Facebook. Hopefully some family will read them. My friends seem to understand more. The problem is I don't seem to have improved in about 6 months or more....
  3. Hi Sandi, Thanks for your reply, yes I seem to have short periods of energy, but longer periods of fatigue. I know I should rest more, but I won't give in to having a rest every day. Don't want to get into a habit of having a lie down in the afternoons (silly I know). Hopefully I will get some replies saying this is normal. If anything can be normal again
  4. Hi All, I know I haven't been here in a while. The last time was about Sept 2010 when I was asking advice regarding a compromise agreement with me employers. I'm glad to say I took the offer and am so pleased I did. I am now 20 mths post SAH, coiled (grade 2) which in my opinion is a mild anuerysm. My problem now is I am still getting bad heads, really weird feelings in there too, like *****ling, stabbing and head has started to feel itchy. I have a new GP who is great, but he just adjusts my painkillers. I also get regular bouts of tiredness, where I feel absolutely drained. My husband understands how I feel but my family don't see why I still get tired. They think I'm repaired so should be fully recovered. I've tried explaining to them, but it's like banging my head against a brick wall. Can someone please tell me they feel the same, I'm sure my GP must be sick of me by now. Also has anyone else got this problem with their family. Thanks all for listening. Jan
  5. Hi Liz D We don't have a union. As if today my HR Manager has not contacted me again. I have been able to speak to CAB, who have said not to sign anything until I have had some legal advice, which my company are supposed to pay for. I have also had an e mail this afternoon from my HR Manager saying he has got some stuff sorted with the legal sept, and he is just waiting to speak to my Senior Manager and he will contact me either way (whatever that meant). We also don't have any Occ health, so have done my phased return & amended duties through, HR, my very unsympathetic manager and myself. I will keep you all posted on what happens. PS I'm also now on Amptipyline for my depression.
  6. Thanks all for you're replies. I have already spoken to ACAS regarding my employer saying they have no jobs with amended duties or another position. They said they can't make jobs up and seem to have acted fairly (not the answer I was expecting). As for CAB I have tried to ring 3 of my local offices, and have been unable to get a reply. My HR Manager rang me on Thursday evening with an offer of a compatibility agreement, which in effect they offer me some money to finish and I sign an agreement to not take them to a tribunal. They need an answer tomorrow, I know it's not much time, bit I'm seriously thinking about taking it. Anymore more help would be grateful, I'm just scared if I don't take this then they finish me and I may end up with nothing. I can't be bothered with fighting for months and ending up with nothing. At least this way, I'll have a little nest egg, and I mean little. But it will help me out for a few months.
  7. Hi does anyone have any advice. I returned to work in May this year on a phased return & amended duties. This was going okay until 4 weeks ago when my manager said I had to start doing my own job and answering the phones. The first couple of weeks were okay as I only did mornings. Last week I did 2 full days and 2 mornings. By the Thursday lunchtime I was totally shattered mentally & physically. I had an appointment on Friday with a rehabilitation consultant at a local Nuerological clinic. The Doctor there stated I was not mentally fit to do my own job yet or work full-time at the minute. She has referred me for assessment by a neurophycologist. She sent me a letter to give to my employer. In the meantime I was told to go back to my GP and get a fit note stating phased return & amended duties. I am not at work as my Employer has stated there is nothing with amended I can do and no other positions available. He also hinted a may be finished under the capabilities act. Help what do I do, will my loan & car payment protection still pay out if I get sacked.
  8. Hi Lorraine, I had SAH in Nov 2009 with embolisation with platinum coils. I flew in June of this year with no effects, the only problem I had was fatigue with the heat & being out every night. Have a great time and take it easy.
  9. Hi Karen, Tina & Liz D, In answer to your question Karen, yes I flew to Cyprus and did not seem to have any adverse effects from the flight. LizD I was coiled and didn't have a craniotomy. Thank you all for your comments, there's never a time I come on here and don't get support. I talk to my friends about how I feel, but they don't understand. I am back at work a couple of mornings a week and had a few tears on Tues morning because I couldn't remember how to do something. One of my collegies said not to worry it'll get better. How can I make them understand it won't get that much better. I've always got you lot to help me, so thanks everyone.
  10. Hi Mel, welcome, don't worry about asking questions. I'm always asking advice. Good luck xx
  11. Hi all, well my holiday was a disaster. I won't go into the details, but I was having problems for about 2 mth before I went with an ear infection. I am having a lot of pain in the bone running behind my ear and some deafness. I have again been to the docs today, where they now say they don't think the pain is from an infection but a possible secondary bleed. I'm seeing my consultant on the 22nd, so told to tell them. Doc said if they poo pooed the idea to go back to her and she would arrange a scan. Has anyone else had this happen to them.
  12. Hi Tina, I had forgotten about the pains in the base of my skull, I didn't mention my neck as I have spodylosis anywhere. I was more concerned about the vice like feeling. I do hope I get on holiday, as Steve and I are going to Cyprus. I'm still deaf by the way, antibiotics don't seem to have done much. Back to the docs again tomorrow. I'm starting to think they think I'm a hyprocondiac. One doctor even said to me the week before last, back again, you must like it here.
  13. Hi Kate Welcome we all know how you feel, I'm still trying to understand a lot of things. I hope the site gives you answers to your questions, I'm sure it will.
  14. Thanks for all your support. You think when you've gotten over your SAH, funny heads and and the likes, your starting to feel better. To get hit with this 6 mths after is so depressing, i'm keeping my fingers crosses it does get better.
  15. Hi Sami, Thanks for the prompt reply, that does make me feel better, as I had rang my neuro radiologist a few weeks back who said she had no ideawhat it was. I must say my support has been zero, I am not due to go and see them for my MRI & Angio results until July, 3 mths after I had them. I can only presume everything is ok. I've not been on here much, as all I seem to ask is medical questions.
