Head/neck ache, is this normal?

Hi there clare xxx Ibuprofen I would strongly suggest speaking to your doctor and my reason for that is a few years ago they used to say that you could take them with a gap of about two hours between however new guidelines (from my doctor) states that you shouldn't actually mix those medicines unless advised by a doctor xxx So don't panic but please speak to a dr xxx -

Any tightness in the chest I would get checked like super Mario says xxx Dizziness I still suffer that 13yrs on I just drink plenty of water and heat is terrible I get dizzier the hotter it gets xxx Hope you are better soon xxx

Hi there I had an unruptured one aswell as the ruptured one and when I had my op on the unruptured one I was up and about the next day up and down stairs and clippings are apparently worse than coiling yet I was fine xxx After the ruptured one well I was in hospital a month and alot worse xxx

Well I cannot comment on other people's neurosurgeons however mine never gave me false expectations he was very good at his job and I will always be grateful to him for giving me my second chance. Keeping in touch with my Dr's, midwives all through my pregnancy, his dedication and caring manner needs alot of praise xxx

Phil I am not surprised you weren't up to taking your son to school you are still very early on in your recovery xxx Just listen to your body drink plenty of water xxx

Phil everything you are feeling is normal and it will get better xxx I am so sorry that your wife and son have gone but I am sure they will be home soon xxx

Victoria it depends on what treatment and other things I had both mine clipped and they scanned me to check that it was completely closed (aneurysm) whilst I was still asleep then was never due to have another one at all (did nine years later for headaches and dizzy spells) but would never of had another otherwise xxx Just ask your doctor if you are unsure but if it was clipped the likelihood is they won't rescan xxx

Hi there you need to phone the hospital you had your coiling done at and tell them that you are still waiting for your two year scan, tell them about your headaches and neck pain (probably anxiety because of the waiting) but tell them you are worried and just want the scans that are now overdue xxx Goodluck and drink plenty of water xxx

Hi sorry to hear about your mum noone can say what the outcome will be however I will tell you that I should not be here and I am so therefore I should be in a wheelchair I am not, but the Dr's said I would die or leave in a wheelchair I did neither so as long as she is here and breathing there is hope I really hope she turns a corner soon xxx As for your sister she isn't worth your time xxx

I agree about Dr's I am on amitriptyline and co-codamol then the dr prescribed tramadol you cannot take tramadol and codeine together also amitriptyline Dr's really should check xxx -

Hi there I get similar feelings every now and then I think they are muscles and nerves when relaxing kind of jumping into relax mode, however I had clipping not coiling I would check with your Dr's but don't panic in the meantime drink plenty of water and rest whenever possible xxx Goodluck hope it goes soon xxx

Ian I was mixed emotions reading your wife's story happy she survived, sad she is not the same, angry about the aftercare however not surprised. I know how hard it must be for you sometimes the way she is like a eight or nine year old lack of sexual contact have you perhaps thought of going and seeing a councillor as a couple and maybe talking through your problems there. Anyway welcome to btg look forward to chatting with you sometime xxx -
I hope your wife improves soon xxx It will all take time her brain has suffered lots of trauma xxx These things can get better but I would seriously consider talking to her neurosurgeon as I am certain they will be able to tell you and reassure you more xxx
