I haven't had pain in bum but I have been told I am one !!!!!! But seriously...my bumbone hurt all the time until I got proper cushion (cannot spell coccyx).... and my cheeks get sore If sit too much.....get backache when I stand too long, so catch 22 do I have Backache or botty ache hmmmmmmh....... Better go my hubbys getting the hump at England losing to Switzerland....all he has said for the last 20mins is "bliming useless" ...lol .... I walk like an old woman...perhaps it's because I am lol but I do have trouble walking .. been told I wont walk again but I walked in Garden and to car...keep perservering you will walk stronger each day Don't Give Up Ever x I wish you well with back and bums ...if pain doesn't go ask in mobility centres see if they can help Good luck Regards WinB x

Hi Melissa I have had epilepsy since I was 14 and I had SAH in 2009...then in 2010 I had shunt fitted. For me it was good as I was not with it as I had Hydrocephullus...(poo I cannot spell that word !!!!) Now I can go shopping etc... eat chocs ..No Docs put me on diet darn it !!!! Seriously though..Do whats right for you, as I can only speak for myself ....You will be fine so try not to worry easily said than done !!!!!! Smile and sing it helps xxxxxx Regards WinB

Hi Hazel, Just try not to worry too much ....easier said than done!!.....Think of your fave song and sing it all the way through....keeps the memory working ...plus it gives those around you headache also lol All will be well so just keep your chin up....and give your partner a great big smile. When I lost my Mum it was like losing my best pal,,,,,I just feel that every day she is looking after me and looking out for me....when I had my SAH I saw my parents.or was I imagining it!!!!anyway I am glad I saw them again. Your Dad Loved you..and time will heal your hurt......easier said than done but trust me, think of the happy times you had with Dad and keep smiling your Dad doesn't want you sad...remember he loves you ALWAYS !!!!! I always thought morbid meant miserable or looking on the dark side of life......!!!! All I know is I had anni/ SAH.....and if I hadn't caught so many germs in hospital I would have had shunt fitted earlier..... and been more like my old self. Well guess it gave my hubby a break (Joke) I feel well in myself apart from getting fat so I start diet and will smile everytime I pass the chocs sob sob Anyone who has had anni keep smiling and sing BE HAPPY ! ! Being happy and smiling will keep us winners no matter what life throws our way so after 3 I want to see you all smile...a 1...a 2....a 3 SMILE !!!!! regards WinB

I was out of it so long I cannot remember if I had headaches ... thank goodness !!!! I get the odd pain near drill holes in head, but touch wood and whistle... phew phew (me whistling) I take a paracetmol and all is well.....singing helps cheer me up as my singing is so awful it makes me laugh....laughter is a good medicine Good luck to all of us Regards WinB

I started smoking when I was 19...drank coffee albeit decaf.....decaf tea also in the last 10 years guess I better blame it on the above or a lost relative...lol Luck of the draw I guess....but remember we are Soooo Special so live love and laugh ... Regards Winb

I got wooshing noise.....used to drive me up the wall ...... hence all the shopping...it was worse when quiet in the house....lol.good excuse. Noticed ears get waxey more since SAH wonder if thats anything to do with it???? Hope the woosh noise goes away Regards Win x

Hi...I had itchy head thought I had fleas...joke!!!!...it was my scar healing and I bathed it in warm salt water. Told my surgeon his DIY skills were about as good as my hubby's.....he drilled my head.!!!!!.... I am so glad I cannot remember anything about the ventriculitis and sepsis I contacted whilst in hospital...scuse spelling mistakes......but since the shunt I had fitted in August.....Well I feel so much better.. Glad to be Alive !!!!!!!...just keep smiling and be happy Regards Win x

I had an SAH end of July 2009...then got ventriculitis followed by Sepsis......my name isn't Lucky lol........ 2009 until Sept 2010 I don't remember much thank goodness ... I had shunt fitted late August and Sept 2010 and a week later I was talking with my hubby and daughter...My hubby says he wants shunt op reversed as I don't stop talking...Cheek!!!! but true.... I cant walk very far but I am alive and happy so keep smiling and don't let life get you down.... You are alive and try not to panic when head hurts....if worried ALWAYS see Doctor..... I walk pushing my wheelchair but after approx 80 yards my back aches real bad...so if you see me walking in shopping centre near you...I am the one with the big bottom sticking out...not bad as after I had my SAH the Therapists said to my hubby and daughter to mourn who I was as I'd never walk or be the same again........and they said to my daughter to put me in a home...My daughter and hubby said No!!!!! we will take her home.........my life is back to nearly normal......!!!!! whatever that is nowdays All I know is that I'm Loved so I am happy Keep happy and smiling Regards WinB143 x

Every time I ask my husband "Was I Like This/That " .... He says " You Still are" !!!!!! and we laugh.....there are days when I feel down...but shopping helps...spend spend and chocolates !!!!!! I am fine Jen..apart from not being able to walk...but How I was.....well it was pretty bad or so am told....when I was in dream world..I kept seeing my parents and family who had died...it was like a big party, apart from my Mum never talking to me ....I know this sounds silly but it was so real.......glad to be with My Family again...I'm glad the Doctors said the shunt would benefit me...if anyone is in doubt about having a shunt fitted...talk to Doctors as for me it was the right thing Take care Jen Regards Win x

Glad for this tsite as I had SAH 2009 July.. Been living with dead and alive people.....saw my parents and brother we had sing song but my Mum wouldn't speak to me she kept pointing to my husband and daughter In August this year I had a shunt fitted I feel like my old self...apart from not being able to walk...but I will walk ......took 4 steps at Christmas...my husband and daughters smile wow, so Never give up Regards Win x
