  1. Welcome. Please take time and read many threads here. You will find them very helpful. I know things are frustrating with the way the world is today but take one day at a time. Try breathing exercises, insight meditation, hydration, no noise for a period of time etc. Suggest these books Finding peace in frantic world and Loving kindness. Good luck to you.
  2. Try insight meditation. There is Imc uk there and ims barre in Massachusetts and Imc USA in Maryland if you are interested. Try a weekend after the covid. Now I can’t take off work and quarantine to go there so I do home virtual course. No tv, work, phone, music for a week or so. You sit as a group three times a day and there is checking with a teacher via zoom daily. There are two 30 mins sessions of lectures. I did that in oct and was very good for stress level and my brain. Very rested. I m doing that again in March. It is basically in breath, out breat
  3. I m very cautious too not catching the virus because I won’t be killed by anything made in China as a friend puts it lol. Many months later, me and my staff is still covid free. It is a miracle. Lots of prayers and meditation helps I believe. I was happy to get the first vaccine on dec 31st too. Never spent a night inside the hospital so far as a patient so no thank you. Sometimes marriage is luck or it is the choice we made and sometimes we don’t know it till one is tested. We are almost 50. I try to make the most out of life by doing good things.
  4. Have seen a patient had it after a car accident. They were on a bike/ motorcycle. But that was years ago and I still see her and she has no lasting issues.
  5. I don’t think people should abandon their partners. But it has to with fate, luck, karma, people s attitudes, work related stress, support system etc. I hope that you will find the peace and happiness. Sometimes it is better to forgive and forget. Be safe and rest well. Stay away from alcohol and smoking.
  6. Yes there are different stents and same with heart stents too. Some stay on blood thinners for one year. Long ago, they had to do hernia surgery on one of my patients but he had stents and he can’t stop the thinners. So they did it while on blood thinners. Patient did well. They also carry a little card in the wallet telling what kind of stents that is.

  15. I didn’t read all of it since I m at work but it is crazy. If they order something, they need to call you. It s no excuse if it s ten weeks ago. If it was ordered over Xmas , I can understand. I don’t know about over there but we sometimes have portals where you can check your info. I would leave messages, write them a letter. Patients here say they will call the lawyer or congressmen or the evening news. I was told as a resident, if you order something, you follow and take action , otherwise why do we order things? I think that makes sense. my patients mostly are

  17. You know I can’t give you med advice😿 but everyones different and I have seen many react differently to same meds. I have taken them long ago for my back. Sometimes it makes me feel dizzy and sleepy. And it can be due to interaction with other meds. Goodluck. You can talk to the doc.
  18. We cannot give you med advice but 3 months is still early. I would rest and won’t do anything that might upset the brain. Rest, rest, rest and hydration. Colors and crowds and noises might be too much for the brain. I would call and ask the neuro what they think. I m sure there are other xmas traditions you can do and it might just be this year that you can’t shop together.
  19. Welcome to BTG. You can also follow up with the neurologist about the eye issues and might need to see neuro ophthalmologist as well. Goodluck.

Rest, drink lots of fluids, etc I know it s easier said than done with two kids. You should be able to get some form of Medicaid if you are in the US due to sah. But your doctor or neurologist need to fill out forms. Good luck. Keep your blood pressure under control.

  24. Welcome to BTG. I think you can have your doctor or nurse explain to your family or give the family some info to read but sometimes it might not still work. Tell them your brain had an injury and it s not the same. You will see that some of these posts are very helpful esp by macca, subzero, daffodil etc etc. We cannot give medical advice but take your time and read some posts and they are very informative. Goodluck.
  25. I m sorry to hear that. I would suggest you get some info about the SAH . It has to be a handout in simple language or a letter from your doctor. Try to explain to the boss. Have them call your doctor if they need to. Just a few suggestions. Goodluck.
