  1. Hi paris I had a shunt fitted soon after my sh in 2007 it's still smart's every now and again especially if you catch it wrong or lay on a hard surface. I guess it;s the same old thing if it hurts don't do it again but you do learn to live with it. I can't say mine has ever given me headaches though. I do however feel that I feel a preasure sometimes but I also have no info on this. take care Josie
  2. I hope all goes well for you fingers and toes crossed.
  3. my piece of advice is learn to enjoy and accept what we have let go of what was. xx Josie
  4. Hi Laura is it you that lives in coventry we have been looking at the Bannerbrook estate but people are saying dont go there if it is you that lives there do you have any info that may help. thanks Josie xx ps sorry not sure how to send message privatley der
  5. Hi Laura did you hear about the little five year old she collapsed and sadly died in the playground I'm not sure when it was now I just remember it was on the news during this past year. My son also had a friend they were 17, he was at the comp when he got the headache he also collapsed and was put on life support but sadly that was turned off. I also think it depends on what part of the brain it happens in, as to our survival mine was at the back. There is no ryme or reason because although I have had different things in my life I don't have high blood pressure which is supposed to be a factor. Like everything else in this world I think it's the luck of the draw. take care Josiex
  6. Hi forgot who asked anyway I was 51 Josie xx I read all the replies and didn't look to see who asked.
  7. Hello Pru and welcome I only had blurred vision for a short time apparently I used to sit with my right eye shut to focus. I remember if I laid flat on my back and got up it was a bit like rewind in the right eye, They gave me some glasses with a plastic film on with tiny grids in it. But I never used them (they wernt very flattering anyway Diadre Barlow type). Touch wood that just seems to have cleared on it's own but I don't allow myself to get overly tired so I'm not sure if it would still effect me. good luck Josiex
  8. Hi all tunes that sooth and relax me: Joss Stone,Duffy,Corinne Baily Ray,David Jordan, Adele all discovered since my sah. always enjoyed Eva Cassidy,Boys to Men, Reggae played all the time when I'm driving with the sun shinning bliss. If I can't get out to drive (fuzzy day) I stay in and play them full blast I need an empty house and neighbour to be at work though. uplifting. I do like to sing along but aparently I sound like Hilda Ogden bless. Joise xx
  9. Hello my name is Josie I also had a SAH and am at home recovering. I'm not sure about what is happening, someday's are great, others I feel spaced out. I try to explain to people but I guess you have to have been there to understand. I also had a shunt fitted due to fliuid on the brain, I have had some coils fitted and am due for more. Why I survived is a mistery to me I guess my work isn't done yet. I'd really liketo be in touch with someone who understands. Josie
