  1. Not to be a harbinger of doom but both my parents ended up having a Carotid endarterectomy. This is where they clean out the carotid arteries in the neck of the build up of plaque They also scanned me for for this which i believe is one of the routine xrays that they do after stroke. It was the mention of the pulsating in the ears that led my father to have this checked out. He was in his late 60's as was my mum when he had the op. He had both sides done and mum just the right. But obviously there are a variety of reasons for the pulsating noise and I am no doctor-just thought you'd like to know of one of the causes. Hope it al gets sorted for you quickly Karen- the waiting is terrible Luv n hugs Lynn xxx

  4. Hi I too suffer for extreme emotions!! In the beginning i would laugh uncontrollably which was so embarrassing-that has abated now but can cry at the drop of a hat and my temper has reared its ugly head. As my sister says ' I don't suffer fools gladly' and i always have to aplogise for my sudden and often unreasonable outbursts. But it s good to know we are not alone! Luv Lynn xx
  5. Hi-it happens to me all the time! The incident of the knife an example. It happens when i'm tired and everything slows down, speech and concentration being the main culprit, or if im concentrating on something else. Its as if the brain is saying 'whoa' one thing at a time. I dont know how you can overcome this -with me its rest and being aware that this will happen. Hope this is of some help-its always good knowing that you arent alone with a problem Luv Lynn xx
