I have two children a very hyperactive 6 year old boy and a very laid back 13years old which helps sometimes and a gorgeous wire fox terrier who know when its time to rest and boy does he tell me hes brilliant....not forgetting my hubby:lol:. Mine was stress and getting sooooooooooooo annoyed that i had organised that the nursery teacher would look after my little boy (first day at nursery) till i had finished as a Ta in year 4 at 12.00 she said no i am going to the hairdressers:crazy:. I was so angry, i had organised it with her it wasnt a problem...the reception teacher calmed me a little and she said she would have him in her class no problems. I went on playground duty as a swop and boom i spilled my coffee down my trousers as i slide down the fence the rest you all know. All due to STRESS the school was flooded the month before what with ferrying my kids to two different places and myself back to school to do the clear up with the rest of the staff it must have all built up. The day before a couple of people asked if i was ok and said i didnt look too great i felt ok but they said i looked very grey..my BP was high. Great thread Michelle c

Hi Michelle/Goldfish girl, I am the one Penny's mentioned...also a Michelle!!. I had the epilepsy test and the lady said i was practically asleep so they told me it wasnt epilepsy. I was told i have NEADS, None epileptic attack sydrome (phew a mouth full to say and type) The attacks i have do look like epilepsy in the way of body jerks etc but unfortunately there isnt a cure and there isnt any tablets. I thinks the worse ones upto now are when i was having my hair trimmed by my sister and i was talking away and suddenly stopped all i remember is her asking if i was ok, not having a clue what she was talking about...she said my eyes rolled upwards and my head dropped forwards my right arms was twitching..the other was when i was talking to my hubby stood up then came round sat on the floor not having a clue again what had happened, i have had lots more during sleep and i do lose minutes during the day even watching tv my eyes dont close and i dont have any warning.....and sad to say i cannot drive...but heyho im still here and thats all thats matters:-D. There was one funny one when i was watching dancing on ice and was happily watching then complaining why a couple had got such high marks when they hadnt done any dancing!! my two kids thought it was so funny. Can i ask do you feel as though you are daydreaming? I hope this helps in some way and i will keep my fingers crossed that it everything is ok for you. Hi Eddie Hi sorry to to hear about your father what a shock it must have been for you and your family at this time you and your family are what he needs recovery is different for all of us and sometimes seems slow, the brain needs time to recover and it will, small steps my friend are all it takes. It will be very confusing for your father and he will get very frustrated but time is a healer. In my own experience when in hospital and before my operation friends came to visit and i thought in my mind i was on holiday and wondered why they had come all this way to see me, one of many hallucinations.. It is very early days and i wish your father well, we are all with you in spirit keep posting and take care Love Michelle C xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hurrying the K A F O splint up for you. Hey i tried walking backwards made me laugh my other half has got used to me doing strange things now.....it was weird but different, Take care Michelle xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Blueday, Sorry its took so long to reply. Just caught up with your posts you make me smile which is a good thing:-D. A bit of background about me....had an SAH in november 07, had a stoke during coiling op left side arm and leg weakness...after three weeks transfered to hospital closer although not fit to be transfered as couldnt walk and the pain was horrendous (they said it was a large bleed). Agony being tansfered to rotherham hospital plonked at the end of corridor in a room on my own...also often forgotten about as the staff used to forget my meds...must say the isolation was because i was and still am sensitive to bright light..the noise sensitivity is sort of easier due to hearing aids. Rotherham staff said they didnt have the facilities to deal with me and my condition so stayed there for nearly two weeks...every night visited by a resident of the ward known as a "sundowner" who used to scar me to death when he wondered off and stand at my door looking as i found out later for a lead for a dog he used to be a dog trainer for Krufts and so reverts back to bygone days before ill health...which dosnt help me as i couldnt get out or move..they used to medicate him but he used to wonder off. Anyhow i was transfered across the road the Rehab oakwood hospital which felt like going backwards not forwards, started physio and memory test improved walking ability 3 weeks latere HOME.....in sept 08 had to have more coils inserted due to headpain etc november 08 difficulty walking left side carried on as you do, saw GP said it was foot drop referred to physio again sorted a AFO splint then couldnt do anymore....now i need help to walk anywhere have a wheelchair from wheelchair services and still have trouble with my arms and hands i now have absences that happen at any time day or night...i have a powerchair which is brill....but still cannot get any answers from neurologist etc as i am a mistery to everyone...nice to be different i suppose:lol:. Blueday thanks for that..its the most i have written about myself because i havnt written my story yet....it felt good!!. Sorry its so long tho. Is your splint going to be a full leg...my knee gives way also. Take care Love luck and laughter Michelle C xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Blueday, I also have foot drop left foot, and wear a splint also my knees give way if i walk far which is not a problem as i cant:redface::redface:. Anyhow mine is a AFO maxi toe off splint i need help walking though but al leats it keeps my toes from going underneath my foot when i trip....you have to laugh dont you...dont fancy crying much......hope they get you sorted soon...did they have to do a emg nerve conduction test on your foot/muscle?? All the best take care Michelle C xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
