  1. Hi Chloe I don't post very often but just saw your thread , as I do read on here most days as find it very supportive, I had a subnarachnoid hemorrhage exactly a year ago , like you I still suffer very bad migraines , always one side of my head and get very scared when these happen , thinking the worst might happen again , I too now have been put on a betablocker propanol which has lessened the head aches a lot , but I still get 3-4 a month I think it's probably normal to panic when they happen after what we have been through but thought it might be good for you to know that you are not alone, it seams we can still get them after ,I am 38 and had been going to the doctors for years with headaches before my bleed I hope your new medication helps and things settle down for you too very soon Take care Kayleigh x
  2. Hi I was thinking about the same things , I'm 9 months on now and although am well, when you hit the fatigue barrier it's horrible , and was wondering if this does improve as time goes on , or is this as good as it's going to be ? But then when you remember what we have been threw , it helps a bit to put things in preceptive I'm 39 but feels like I'm a lot older some days Helps to come here and read other peoples journeys though. Best wishes Kayleigh x
  3. Hi Karen Thankyou for replying , that's good to know they Have helped you. I have started them now so will See , I feel fine so far and if it helps with migranes Has to be worth it , although the dvla are enough to give anyone Migranes (lol) talk about going round in circles But thanks again x
  4. Hello everyone Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find any threads. My gp has just given me propranolol for migrane headaches Having just had another 3 day migrane after my SAH 5 months ago, I just wondered if anyone else had tried them? But think I'm willing to give them a go. So fed up with the headaches I used to suffer before the bleed and for a time after and I had hoped it was getting better but not at moment. Just don't want anymore problems. Thanks guys x
  5. Thankyou ladies for your replies its always good to know everyone else s experience , which has now put my mind at rest wishing you all well too kayleigh x
  6. Hi Everyone I don't post very often , in fact this is only my second. Just had a follow up appointment today , I have made a good recovery after SAH , still have a few headaches and a lot of tiredness , but have started back at work a few days., I had an angiogram last month and now my consultant says they will scan me again at two years. Just wondered if it normally is that long , just feels like a long time when you get scared incase it happens again ( which they have said is unlikely ) now the aneurysm is coiled. Thanks if anyone can advise. Kayleigh
  7. Hello lawson I know exactly what you are talking about too. I had my SAH in May and where my EVD drain was has only just healed and I too have been left with a head dent about the size of my Finger It is still very itchy at times , my consultant told me its where they had to drill when operating, i don't know if it ever closes over but I do have to go back and have it checked again so I will ask. Also desperate to colour my hair but have still been told no chemicals on it yet , hope that helps but does sound same. Kayleigh

  11. hi Thankyou for your reply, I probably didnt make much sense as i read it back ,it was like a tube coming from head to the machine which drained the fluid from brain for 1st week ,then they took that out and its where all the stitches were from that ,that are not heaaling very good , think i will go and see Gp like you suggested many thanks take care
  12. hello everyone I suffered a sh in may of this year and like many of you as been a massive shock i have found this site good for answers to questions, whilst I am recovering well,I just wondered if anyone had a brain drain (sorry dont know the name for them ) in for the hydrocaphlesus after the operation , and if they did how long where the stitches were to heal, its 11 weeks since it happened and the healing of this seams to take so long , some times it does weap a little ,i just wondered if anybody else had experienced this as its so long till appoitment many thanks
