Shawn H
Hi, Almost two years ago I had an NASAH. My bleed was more to the side of the brain so an unusual location. I went back to work far too soon even though I was experiencing nonstop headaches, balance issues, memory problems, brain fog and significant fatigue. One of the symptoms my PCP noticed right after I was discharged was hand tremors. These have continued to worsen and my other symptoms are still present except the headaches. I don’t hear anyone else talk about tremors or see it in any literature. I am about to lose my job mainly because of the memory issues. I’m going back on disability for a month to see if rest is helpful. BTW, I was later found to have a carotid dissection which could have been the cause. It was missed by the first hospital. Please let me know if tremors have affected you and if your symptoms have improved. Shawn
Tina
Hi Shawn A very warm welcome to BTG Like you i had hand tremors after my craniotomy surgery for a ruptured brain stem aneurysm. At about two years in recovery they gradually improved and hardly noticable. Then a few years later it came back in my left hand only. Now it is also starting again in my right hand. It is worse when i am stressed or very tired. I am coming up to 17 years since my SAH. I am sure that going back to work so early may have made things worse for you. You have been through a major life threatening trauma and your brain is trying hard to repair as well as continue as normal. I do hope that by leaving work and resting up, giving yourself a chance to mend, that your tremors will improve. Along with all your other symptoms. Be kind to yourself Wishing you well and we look forward to hearing how you are doing. Take care Tina
Shawn H
Thanks so much Tina. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’m not sure a month will be enough time off but I’m glad to have the time to concentrate on myself.
