ps the specialist came to see lin who is supporting lin in the investigation and lin took a lot of notice of him during the investigations and it seems the dr who treated lin in 2008 has a great deal to answer too

hi everyone

im sorry I haven't been around much lin is causing some very serious concerns since coming out of Stafford hospital everything was going ok and we went to see the neurologist for her Botox top up and had an extra one into her neck which has helped.

the neurologist wanted lin to be placed on her side overnight and although the scab on the right side was healing slowly we noticed that over the two days that it had flared up and was weeping the nurse took a swab and it came back positive for mrsa so the gp prescribed medication to clear it up but what has happened is that the scab melted and left a huge hole quite large 3"x2" and half an inch deep and has exposed the skull the plate and the Dura we were blue lighted down to QE at Birmingham only to be prodded about by a dr who couldn't be bothered prescribe medication to be taken orally antibiotics despite being told she is peg fed and nil by mouth.

lin spent ten hours on a hospital trolley and then sent back to the home who have done their nuts the wound is covered but I have been waiting for a consultant to call me but nothing yet her consultant isn't back till Monday but I will be phoning tomorrow morning when his secretary is back im petrified for lin because this is life threatening as there is a huge hole and a lot of tissue missing lin will need a skin graft. sorry I haven't spaced the type out for easier reading but im fuming god bless you all xx

Hi Paul,

I cannot believe this. I do hope you get that phone call today and get something done about this.

Do they not realise what Lin has been through so far and simply does not need this kind of setback?!

Kel xx

thank you

I've just got back from the hospital I need to be back by 5am .I spoke to consultants secretary she got lin in an emergency clinic at 1-30 this afternoon lin has been admitted to hdu at QE it doesn't look good the registrar lifted the dressing and it looked horrible all green and nasty .

I think he said they will take lin into surgery once the antibiotics kick in and debride the wound and then wait for Mr flint when he comes back on Monday to see if they have to take the plate out and if they do it will never be replaced .

that was a huge kick in the guts big time lin has made such good progress since it was put in I don't want it taken out unless it really really necessary all I can think of is what is good for lin I don't want to left on my own and im dreading it even more now I've even stopped phoning friends because im so scared and frightened for lin I don't know when I will be able to get back on so please take care and be happy xx Paul

i can't stop checking in here in case there's any updates. i can't believe someone has battled for all this time for something as ****** stupid as mrsa to set in, it's just so unfair.

does anyone else think that things were better in hospitals when everything was run in-house with a harridan of a matron on each ward who oversaw all the cleaning? i saw such a difference between having my first and second babies 6 years apart.

good luck paul and linda - i wish i had a magic wand to wave for you both right now xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
