Do you find eye issues are more pronounced -- blurriness, double vision, the feeling that something is in your eye -- after disagreements, excitements, cooking even?  I just find it so odd that I can see pretty OK at the start of the day (although not as well as before the bleed) and then the difference is so pronounced after just living life.  I am at the 7-week mark of a NASH. Would you/ did you see an ophthalmologist?

Also, I miss sleep! Throughout the day I feel so tired, not to mention at night, but I find it so hard to sleep.  In fact, a few nights ago, I remembered I had Percocet from the hospital and took one.  I found that taking a Percocet at night allows me to sleep.   I realize this might not be the best way to have a good night's sleep.  Any suggestions would be so appreciated.

Hi Valene,

Early days yet for you but it does get better xx

I get itch eyes, so I get eye drops to soothe eyes but ask Doc he can refer you to an eye specialist xx

I could be in the Olympics where sleep is concerned,  bet I'd beat you and get Gold medal ha ha j/k xx

I go to sleep with news on and when it bores me I know it is time to get comfy and drift off to boring news.

Good luck Valene Silver medallist lol xxxx

7 weeks is still early. You have a mass of blood on yoor brain that irritates the brain and will require more time for that hemoglobin to be resorbed. I had and have eye issues ever since "my event". Expect blurry vision as blood settles in the occipital area. Nothing can be done other than drink lots of water daily and what they call "cognitive rest." Good luck!!

You are so nice. I remember one Saturday , trying so hard to sleep and couldn't. I stayed up until 6 am and was bored out of my mind. At dawn , i went in an uber (I learned about uber in my brain bleed days because I could not drive!), anyway, i took an uber to Church. Arrived an hour early (because I was so bored) and prayed and thank God for letting me live through the whole ordeal without paralysis, etc.

The service started at 8 and I promptly fell asleep in the middle of service snoring loudly. Someone rolled me over, I had the good sense to leave and uber back. Everyone thought I was on drugs!!

Valene,

8 weeks is still too early. Of course I can’t give you medical advice but I would not use Percocet to sleep. It can be addictive. They now say even over the counter sleep meds are not good if taken for over 2-3 weeks.

I would definitely see eye md even neuro ophthalmologist if needed. Im not sure if you are in the UK.

Also try to read posts by Macca as he always has intelligent things to say.

Hope you get to travel as you wish. But rest, drink lots of water, don’t think too much, relax. I know its easier said than done. Also family / loved ones support is very important. One is lucky if one has loved ones who will go thorugh any kind of crisis in life. If people don’t understand or doesn’t care, I wouldn’t pay attention to them.

Goodluck.

Thank you Catwoman23

I did see an opthamologist. I was given steroids for eye swelling. Feels much better. He feels the other issues will get better with time.

I so appreciate your support and wisdom.
