  1. Hollyglas i had those same issues after my SAH. After 6 months with no relief I went to physical therapy for a month, twice a week and they worked on my neck, head and balance and it has helped. I continue the exercises they gave me and it keeps it away. Good Luck in your recovery.
  2. Karin i have the same issues as you describe with any electronic device such as computer, tablet, phone and TV. I have to restrict my time on these devices and stop when the headaches start. I visited my eye Dr. And he could not find any issues so it is contributed to my SAH. Just take as many breaks away from the electronic device and complete other duties if possible while recovering. Good luck.
  3. Today is my one year anniversary of my SAH on May 25,2022. I remember it most as I spent the long memorial holiday in Intensive Care. It has been a long year and taking two steps forward with only one foot back. Celebrating this Memorial Day with family and friends. It has been a tough week with many original pains coming back just to remind me it is still around but I am blessed to be here. Thanks to this website knowing I am not alone in the struggle. Thanks to everyone who posted and replied. GB
  4. To update my earlier post on physical therapy, I went twice a week for a month and it has helped my stiff neck and balance. I would certainly recommend it for anyone suffering from the same issues. Coming up on my one year anniversary so looking forward to passing that milestone. Take care Gary
  5. Irene thank you for the reply and information. My neurologist has no issues with me seeing a physical therapist and so we will see if the insurance approves. Thank You again as I move forward in this journey. Gary
  6. Jo I experienced your issues on 2 and 3 after my SAH. They eventually got better but comes back every once in a while as you long term heal. Good luck
  7. Thanks everyone for the comments, it is appreciated and will discuss with my Neurologist later this week during my next appointment.
  8. Has anyone gone through physical therapy to help strengthen their neck muscles. I am still having issues with a stiff neck and have to sit in a chair which offers neck support after 10 months post SAH. Thanks
  9. Nic The symptoms you described in your last reply are all common and the same after I had my SAH. Patience is hard to have as I have had to wait for follow-up appointments. My initial neurosurgeon advised unless I have another “Thunderclap” headache then it will run its course which takes time. Good luck in this unwanted adventure. GB
  10. Thank you for the replies and information. I messaged my GP and he has no objection to a 2nd opinion and submitted the request to the insurance company. If they approve then I will go to a different neurologist to get their plan on treatment. Gary
  11. I am considering getting a 2nd opinion for my SAH from May 2022 as I am still suffering from severe headaches, lightheadness, nausea and heavy ringing in my ears. I know there is no silver bullet to fix my issues and you have to let it run its course but I am getting at my limit for tolerance. Any thoughts on sufferers who have done this and is it worth the cost and time/efforts or do I suck it up and put on my big boy pants and muddle through. thanks Gary
  12. Has anyone had any luck with using CBD oil that is hemp free for pain management? My state of Indiana does not allow the CBD hemp oil within the state like the surrounding states and I do not want to use narco medications. thanks for any suggestions.
  13. Hello everyone, I had my Non-aneurysm SAH on May 25,2021. After 5 days in Intensive Care and 3 days in hospital follow-up care I returned home. I had just retired in January 2021 so it has been a long year. The forum has allowed me to realize I am not alone in my everyday struggles of severe headaches, light sensitivity and fatigue. Thank you to everyone who has posted and shared your life experiences as it helps.
