  1. Hi Anne

Caught this a bit late I also still have cycles of extreme fatigue but have had all the blood test and been checked by an Endocrinologist and there are no underlying causes to the fatigue except possibly pushing myself too hard at times. I only work 20 hours a week now so can generally manage life work balance a bit better just have to try not to overdo do things in general.

  2. Hi Mark

Welcome to the site I'm glad that you are finding it useful. As some of the others have already said it is very early on into Annette's recovery as yet. It mut be really difficult for you at the moment and finacial worries must seem to make a bad situation feel a lot worse.

I hope that the Criticallife insurance is sorted out quickly for you so at least you have one less thing to worry about. Look forward to hearing how Annette is getting on and please try to make some time for yourself as well.

  3. Hi Prue

Lovely to see you posting again but sorry to hear you're suffering bad headaches. I have constant headpain on the site of my op which goes from the side of my ear and at its worse all down the left habd side of my head/face. My pain has been put down to neuropathic pain and the Neurosurgeon thinks I may have a trapped nerve causing it.

I take a low dose of anti-depressant which does help to ease the nerve pain a little. Will you be seeing your Consultant anytime soon as they maybe able to to give you some clearer answers.

  4. Hi Zoe

I think Sarah has already given you some sound advice in pointing you to the "Brain & Spine foundation. It might also help if you make a list of all the things that are worrying you and arrange to speak to the Doctors looking after Richard.

Diduck a warm welcome to you and I think you have done really well getting back to work so soon. The first 12 months can be quite hard and very emotional it takes a while to actually adapt to the person you have become and of course learning to understand when your brain is telling you to slow down. Look forward to hearing more from you and any questions just ask there is always someone around to answer them.

  5. Hi Lynz

Yes I was treated at Walton and like yourself was pretty much pushed out with no real information at all. Walton now have a dedicated SAH Nurse and a support group that apparently has been going for years but I didn't hear about it til last year.

We must arrange to meet up some time soon for a natter and coffee :-D
