Air travel - SAH declaration?

Evening all

I know I have to declare medical conditions for Travel Insurance, and am doing so - in fact I am declaring hypertension, SAH and stroke (as I know I had vasospasm during my op which caused initial left-sided weakness which my Dr has said must be a stroke then?!) but a friend asked today whether I have to let the airline know??? Does anyone know about this?
