Daffodil
My doctor is on holiday this week but his locum is obviously a little more PC and technology savvy as he signposted me to these online FREE programmes as a good place to enter the world of cognitive behaviour therapy. He also suggested he and I may talk about PTSD but that's a conversation for another week. I have literally only just scratched the surface of the ecouch one but they all look pretty good and useful resources. Interestingly one site talks about the predisposition to worry as possible reasons for anxiety. I think I have always been a bit of a 'what if' person and it suggests that I think that by worrying about something I am actually doing something to fix the problem but actually I'm not and that's just no good for me or my health. http://www.llttf.com this is called live life to the full. Yes GP said its a bit cheesy but some basic CBT approaches here. https://moodgym.anu.edu.au/welcome this is a Australian site which I heard of in my old job so knew of it. Good solid exercises and advice https://ecouch.anu.edu.au/ecouch this is the one I have signed up to and am working through the anxiety workbooks, I will post back how I get on.
