  1. Hi Jackie

Welcome to BTG, it is lovely to hear from people with lots of experience! I was quite young too when my SAH happened- 27! I keep thinking about a masters but struggle to remember chapters from the night before. Oh well, live in hope!

  2. Hi Ern,

Welcome to BTG, I had my SAH in Sept 2006 so quite close to you. This is a fab website by where you will get so much support and advice.

I havr flown every year since to Greece so flight is about 3 hours. I normally get a slightly worse headache than I normally get but the holiday well made up for it

I would say ask your doctor or consultant but I do have coils too and I am ok.

Looking forward to hearing more from you xxx

  3. Hi

Was just wondering if anyone has had the swine flu jab. I have had a message left on my answerphone to get in touch with the doctors about whether I want the jab or not.

Simon rang them and he booked his appt cos he has no spleen so nothing to fight infection but forgot to ask about mine  Typical man hey!

Will ring them Monday but just wondered what everyone else had heard.

    Thanks

    Lx

  4. Hi

Am really sorry, I thought i'd welcomed you to BTG:roll:

I went back to work far too early and ended up having to another 8 months off so please make sure you both take care. It is as hard, if not harder, for you as the carer too.

Glad you have got an appt though- well done- I'm still waiting from 2 years ago!

    Take care xx

  5. Hi Sam

I had to do exactly the same as Karen and had to go to the docs after 1 week and then every 2 weeks. I was ok with this because my doctor is a neuro doc so he was telling me that what i was experiencing was normal and managed to reassure me.

I had to get hubby to take time off work to drive me there too

  6. Hi Leo

You already know the problems that I have had with my headaches since returning to work. I want to be really positive for you but I know the stresses and strains of teaching and youknow what happened to me! On the other side though, as much as I miss teaching and as much as i'm not keen on my new job, the headaches and tiredness are more manageable (even though I was about 2 1/2 years down the line when they were!)

Anyway hun, you keep at it, you've been through such a lot lately. You know where I am if you want to chat.

  7. Hi Caz

Well done on your return to work. Take it steady is my biggest piece of advice. I foolishly did toomuch and ended up off work for months, then returned and did the same again.

Listen to your body and when you are tired, give in to it. I'm just over 3 years now and i'm still notgood at giving in :oops:

  8. Hi Sam

Welcome to BTG- the most fantastic support group on the internet :-D You will find loads of advice and support on here and Janet has bumped the topic for you.

I was treated at QE too- where abouts do you live? I live in Coventry :-D Take care and make sure you take it easy.

If its any consolation, lots of us have emotions allover the place and cry for England.

  9. Hi Paris

Welome to BTG- you are in a fab place where you will get the most fab advice and support xx

Congratulations on your imminent arrival of your baby- how exciting but I must say it must be pretty stressful and tiring for you.

Keep talking to your hubby about how you both feel and things will be fine. Recovery is longer and slower for some and an awful lot of patience is required.

  10. Hi Helen,

Welcome to BTG, we are such a friendly bunch that you will get loads of advice and support from great friends.

It is really interetsing to read stories of others that are in a similar position, it does give a bit of comfort to know others understand.

Take care and stay in touch
