It was discovered, at the same time that I have another, smaller aneurysm on the right side, which is now monitored very closely and shows it being stable. I decided to visit my sister in LA but the question was would I be insurable and, if so, at what cost? Eventually, obtained insurance from First Assist Travel Insurance Plus (Tel: 0844 209 8385) for £537 for 2 weeks. Fly 1st October. A lot of money but bearing in mind health care costs in the USA did not feel it was untoward especially as another quote received was over £1,000!
