Guest kaj Posted November 16, 2007 Share Posted November 16, 2007 My mom is going to be 5 months post SAH Nov. 23rd. She still cannot tell us when she has to go to the bathroom. Last weekend she had a bowel movement in her diaper and could tell us that something smelled but had no idea that it was her. My question is: Has anyone been in this state or no someone who was in this state at five months and still had a positive and good recovery??? I am getting discouraged. She does have more sharp days than bad days now. Her sharp days aren't "her" but some of her. She always knows who we are on these days and can do simple tasks very easily. (matching cards with similiar pictures, read a calendar, do a 24 piece puzzle). Anyone have some hope out there, I would love to hear it. Thanks, Kim I hope all of you have a nice holiday next week.
