  1. Hi I had my SAH in June 2008 and had a MRI scan in January 2009, then two weeks later had a letter asking me to go back for another! I found out it was because there were not enough images taken of right place. Two weeks later I had another scan and have just got the results which are ok and they tell me that I wont need another scan until June 2010. Good luck with your recovery hope its going well. I'm 52 and impatient! Take Care Caroline

  7. Has any one had weakness in their legs? Maybe its because I was always on the go and rushing about! but I have noticed that my legs feel weak and its a real effort sometimes. 9. Before I came out of hospital they did an assessment to see if I could make a cup of tea and also walk up and down stairs. When I came out my daughters took it in turns to stay with me for a couple of weeks, Jo said one day she was worried when she nipped out as to what she would find when she came back! but I was ok. Had to be reminded about turning off the cooker and things that were simple but I learnt them all again eventually. Did shopping on line as well. Much of the early days I dont really remember. caroline
  10. I cant stand noise either, shopping centres are a nightmare! have to have the TV down as well. If too many people talking it sounds like they are shouting - really annoying. Have also developed tinnitus which doesnt help. Where abouts in Derbyshire are you? Caroline
  11. I feel like you Joanne, tired, no energy and my legs feel like jelly! have got occupational health appt next week. Thats a good goal Anya, I too was quite fit pre SAH and will try to regain it again! I too am aiming for a new and different job and looking forward to it! Caroline
  12. Fatigue is really bugging me! I sleep well at night but not during the day, I only have the energy to do basic jobs and no motivation for anything else. Has anyone tried herbal remedies? would be good to know if they help? Thanks Caroline
  13. Hi Loz, your Mum will improve day by day, my daughters were very worried about me too, I was very confused. I guess your age about the same age as my daughters, they kept a diary for me to read when I got better - it helps with recovery too. Give it time and slowly she will improve. take Care Caroline
  14. Hi Steve, welcome to a great site. I cant remember anything about the first month and even after that is a bit hazy! I was very confused and did some interesting things! when I came home after 6 weeks I had to 'learn' things again - like remembering to turn the cooker off! I was also very emotional and tearful, it will get better but takes time - everyday is a bonus! take Care Caroline

  21. So good to read your post Lauren and realise there is light at end of the tunnel, I am physically exhausted, its an effort to walk the dog but I do. I used to be fit and always up for a challenge and as you say lived life in the fast lane! I am ready to take life slower but hate the feeling of exhaustion all the time, its like recovering fro the flu day after day. I know I have to be patient and it will get better. So glad this site is hear to share experiences and the ups and downs! Caroline

  25. I sleep all night from 10pm until 7am, much better than before I was ill, then I was always waking up worrying about work! or getting up and writing myself notes. I have a doze in the afternoon now for about an hour at the moment. I often feel tired. Caroline
