Acquired Brain Injury Patient Opportunities: A Chance to Participate.

Recommended Posts

I thought I would share this with you all, as it hopefully might be of interest to some folks. Sorry this is slightly, short notice......

The NIHR Brain Injury MedTech Co-operative is one of the eleven MedTech and In Vitro Diagnostic Co-operatives (MICs) funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) across the UK. https://www.brainmic.nihr.ac.uk

The invite is to an online briefing session from the NIHR Brain Injury MedTech Cooperative. The session will focus on the opportunities that this group has for acquired brain injury survivors to get involved in research initiatives, at all stages of these research projects.

I “attended” the first of these online briefing sessions a couple of weeks ago. I found it quite interesting and have signed up for further involvement.

This group is based in Cambridge, it is a UK wide initiative. As far as I am aware it is purely for UK residents.

Quote: The NIHR Brain Injury MedTech Cooperative (MIC) once again is offering an exciting opportunity for you to get involved in research and to have your say in helping to shape future patient involvement on the many projects, workshops and panels that we host.

This is the second in a series of planned drop in sessions that we are hosting which will take place this Wednesday 17th February at 14.00pm.

In order to get involved and have your say, register your interest at involve@brainmic.org  whereby further details and log-in instructions will be provided.

Hope this is of interest to some of you out there. If this is too short notice I am told that there will be subsequent sessions scheduled. Just keep an eye on the Brain MIC website -  https://www.brainmic.nihr.ac.uk

All the best

Greg.

Sounds interesting but with short-term-memory sadly not for me, but Greg nice to see your post hope your doing ok...

Stay-safe.

Thanks Louise, I appreciate probably not for everyone which is a shame. We should be aiming for high levels of inclusion in these kind of things. Hope you are keeping well.  All the best Greg.
