I know you will worry about your Dad it is natural....He will come around in his own time...took me a year before the Docs

decided to give me a shunt op...I was only in hospital for 3 days and gradually I came back to land of living...memory got

better and better, ,,,,,, still use words like whatshisname and thingymebob but then I always did..lol...

Try and do things you Like....So you are putting on weight ....bet I am the fattest here...lol...wow my claim to fame..

Started diet a month ago...love cakes !!!! ..went potty on chocs when I came around and was told what happened to me.....when things get rough for me...I sing..drives others potty........

Hi Jan,

Sounds like we have same Doc .... I made appoint 5th Jan... they said okay end of January...4 weeks nearly !! okay 3 weeks lol

Before my SAH if Doc would not give me appointment when I needed it...I would say "okay can I have home visit"...they soon fitted me in.

Since my SAH I am more quieter (No I am not who am I kidding lol ) a little quieter then. !!!.No Win stop lying ..oh gosh anyway

Hope you cheer up and feel better in yourself....Now try and sing or do somthing that makes you happy

Welcome to BTG .....I have always worn sunglasses even when not needed ...hides the bags and red eyes !! lol

I cannot remember my 1st year so cannot help you...but do not let it beat you....it could be a form of fear or tensing up...

So try and keep calm and good luck ....keep smiling and treat yourself to somthing nice x (Chocs are good )

When I passed out with bleed/SAH ...I wasn't fully with it, and do not remember the July09 til sept. 2010...

My husband said the surgeon was good...but sorry to say the hospital staff where lacking in aftercare..A nurse tried to stand me up after my op...but I do not remember ...my daughter saw her and said "isnt my mum supposed to be in bed at a certain angle and not

I am fine now~got blood poisoning ie Sepsis and ventriculitis.....I do not what caued it and oh and bed sores ?

The surgeon told the nurses he didn't wat the bed sore to go to a No.5....or was it 4 ??? memory loss ..lol.

Glad I had a good surgeon who kept an eye on me...Call me lucky lol...Just got to learn to walk.....While on here the NHS have

taken my money and when I get ill they offer me £7.00 per month...if I hadn't caught so many germs I 'd be up and walking. but ever day I improve thanks to Hubby and Daughter xx I pay for my own Hydrotherapy now...and all my needs.. swear words lol

For us, it did not happen like that. In my particular circumstance, I was at the hairdressers, getting ready for a big night when I had my SAH. The weekend before, I was in London, socialising in Camden bars. Eight weeks prior, I ran the Berlin Marathon and had made plans with a friend to return to Berlin in the New Year. In four weeks time, I planned to go to back to London with my boyfriend. He did not know, but I had planned a weekend away for his birthday and I had arranged that we go to White Hart Lane to see Tottenham play.

I get headaches but not as bad as yours... My .eye sometimes twitches...I just pretend I am winking at

Wel I went shopping today AGAIN ...Whats new !! no chocs !

My hubby said he had a call from the Hospital...about my MRI scan....I went "oh yes and"...drrum roll bbbbrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm

"All okay" said my hubby,, (He's a man of few words) I am the one with short term memory loss but he said..ready? My husbands words!!!!!!

"The things are not swollen and no other Anni's showing up" ..I was pleased but said ""what things were swollen Al"...."I dunno" he replied..told you he is a man of few words lol...guess he meant ventriculitis/ventricles ????....Just read this to my hubby he laughed and has told me the tubes or ventricles are not swollen...and gone to do some work with a smile on his face.

My Sis used to make me dolls houses out of boxes when I was young and she has always been my older sensible sis

My Parents always said love yourself first then others will love you.....and if not you can do without them....

I had great Parents who always told me to be true to myself...

So I have had SAH I am still l the person I was sort of...!!! (minus a few memory losses )

I swear a lot since SAH I don't like it, but long journeys in cars upset me and I am so scared of lorries....so my language

on motorways is so bad, but I guess I am lucky for I have my family who understand me...all of them cousins and all.

Apart from language I feel like me ..the old me.... I sing and joke more because I do not want to be down over SAH

I will not let it ruin my life or the person I once was...

My sister said to me "You are determined and you wont let it beat you, you will walk"...So to my Sister Sylvia, Thanks for giving me a goal, and my brother Terry thanks for the laughter and songs ....and to all my other sisters brothers and friends ,Thanks Pals xxxxxx
