holiday insurance

Recommended Posts

I always use Fortis. Their criteria is not quite as strict as some. I always ring the medical line to get clearance though, mainly because I have other conditions as well. You can only purchase it through brokers, just google Fortis and you can find your nearest broker through their website. I think the Post Office insurance is underwritten by Fortis.

It is reasonable as well, especially if you buy a years policy depending on how many times you intend to use it.

I used All Clear. It's complicated though because all insurance companies seem to have different policies. When I was enquiring, one said I needed extra medical cover up to 2 years after my SAH, others said forever and others said it was up to me when I decided I didn't need it anymore!!! You just have to do what think is right for you. I'm no gettig extra cover anymore, so fingers crossed, touch wood and all that ;) x

Just out of interest, do you all get specialist holiday insurance on account of your brain injury? I just can't decide. It's over 3 years on now and I'm not sure whether I still need it. Advice would be appreciated as I'm going to Egypt next Friday!
