  2. Thanks Karen, I will let you know how i get on Neils coming with me thank goodness i don't know what i would do with out him hes my rock!! Saturday i have a full MRI scan this must be my 8th one in nearly two years on my head...neck and spine 40 minutes of banging and clanging YAK ... why do all appointments come at once. xxxxxxxxxxxxmichelle xxxxxxxxxxx
  3. Hi Thanks Karen and Rod for your replies. Apparently Neils (hubby) says that i was suppose to have seen one 6 months after my Sah and stroke but i never went...and my consultant says everyone should see a phsycologist after a sah?. First we knew but hey he:confused: Michelle.
  4. Hi John I don't know what are they messing about at, i can understand how frustrating and upsetting this is for you both..at least you should get some answers from the complaints procedure. Consultants are a law into their own hands mine has never replied to an email sent by neil just over 3three months ago....he had told my gp that i could go on phase return to school.....the thing is i have had to leave my job through my health and was seen by my occuptional therapist who agreed i was unfit for work owing to my disabilities. Hoping that you get something sorted soon, take care. Love luck and laughter Michelle cxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ps its nearly a year since my recoiling.
  5. Hi all I have a neuropsychologists appointment tomorrow and have been getting abit nervous as the days go by i don't know what to expect and to put more pressure on me my occupational therapist is awaiting the outcome of whatever happens. Sorry i know its not good for any of us to worry putting bp up etc its taken me all this time to post this...i didnt realise how much i was stressing about it until i mentioned it to my sister this afternoon. I was thinking perhaps its something to do with the absences/fits i have been having. or maybe not.... anyone know what happens at these appointments??? Help and advice needed please:confused::confused::confused: Michelle x

  10. Hi Adam Thanks for your reply and welcome to the site. You are doing really well in your recovery:-D. Could i ask did you have a EEG test? Subclinical epilepsy does sound a bit like my episodes i havnt had chance to look it up yet. How scary for you and how rude some "friendly" drivers are NOT. I hope you are doing ok and take care Love luck and laughter Michelle C xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  11. Hi all and thanks for your replies, not been on site for a while. I have had the eeg done and the lady said i was practically asleep:roll: she did say that they get a better result that way. Anyway we went to see my new neurologist Mr Khan, rediculous timed appontment 6pm i was totally shattered and feeling pretty rough so i went in my wheelchair (under protest as i am very stubborn) we walked in and he basically said the siezures were none epileptic attach disorder....i have had two more (the last on 1st august) the last two were during my sleep very scary as i woke up with every muscle hurting and asthough someone was pushing my neck and head into the pillow....i just dropped straight off to sleep again and spent the days after totally exhuasted with pains everywhere and a bad head and eye day(nothing new there then!). He didnt give much info about the attacks and just to make sure i have someone with me all the time. My other problems my arm, leg pains weakness lack of fine motorskills etc are a mistery to him. He did some pressure test and asked me to lift my left leg which is impossible with or without splint and said we could have a second opinion and that he would do a proper read through of my notes and look at my scan. so there it is???? Any ideas???? Love Michelle C xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  12. Hi Nora Welcome to the "family" hoping you are doing well, Take care Michelle Cxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  14. Hello All, Got a letter from my neuro consultant to book a EEG for the absences i have been having... he did ask me if i had bitten my tongue the last time and i said no but realised that i had got blood blisters on the inside of my mouth and as though i had bit my cheek..and lines..i have also had nights when i felt like ants were crawling all over me YAK i didnt realise that was a sympton either... The first absence i had i didnt realise it was anything until the second one, and i had mentioned it to Penny anyway the first one was when my sister was trimming my hair and i was chatting away (wears me out having the concentrate when chatting as well?) and the next thing was she was shouting at me asking if i was ok i said yes why she just said i went quiet little did i know a few weeks later she told me that i was staring and my left arm was twitching...the second one was after a very busy day but pleasant day i over did it and walked far too much partly because i couldnt get a wheelchair hired, later that night i was talking to neil in the kitchen and the next i was on the floor and cannot remember anything about it and the rest of the night i felt exhausted and dithery/shakey ...the blood blisters etc were a week later. I do have odd time during the day when i seem to have missed half hours or so..... has anyone else had an EEG or absences at all please??? Michelle C.

Hi Michelle39 I can only agree with what everyone has said my hubby says i bump and fall a bit more agracefully now, and as for wobble days we are perfectly allowed to have those days the wierd feelings in the head the dropping things all quite normal it early days and saying that i still do that now 19 months on you are amongst friends here, try not to worry too much easier said than done..take care. Love luck and laughter MIchelle cxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  16. Hi Laura I have the same feeling "a screwdriver going through the eyes" wheni take my sunnies off and no its not nice and another interesting thing is that you and me had the same artery burst. Hope you are doing ok Laura Love michelle c xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  17. Hi Suse I have been the same both eyes i thought it was my sinuses but not always..sometimes my eyes hurt/ache to move them anyway and i am still wearing my sunglasses inside and outside, i still have photophobia, the weather (hot and sunny) makes my head hurt more than in winter but i do love the sunshine Love michelle c

Welcome to the "family" glad you found us its a brilliant site with lots of friends that will help advise and support you, Like everone has said its early days but you are doing really well, take every day as it comes and listen to your body, easier said that done Take care and keep posting Love luck and laughter Michelle cxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  19. Hi Karen, I am still suffering with photophobia with terrible eye pain, wearing my really dark glasses outside (i have 5 diff pairs now) and really light sunnies inside i get the occassional day when i can take them off for between 10 mins to 1/2 an hour depending on how bright it is. I now wear hearing aids for high frequency loss and suffer with tinnitus in both ears which i can cope with most days. I wear a toe-off leg splint on my left leg due to foot drop something i didnt have 1st time around and i fall over/down if i take it off, i have a wheelchair because i cannot walk very far, my short term memory is non-existant i have trouble learning/processing new things even after reading the same page 3 or 4 times its still dosn't 'go in' and when fatigued i cannot find the correct words for objects and muddle words up i end up pointing at things or saying a word thats starts with the same letter. I have fatigued problems pains/aches in my back legs and arms with tingling sensations in hands/fingers. My balance is affected lately especially together with head/eye pains which is more frequent. Love Michellexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx p.s glad to be here though!!
  20. Hi Leo Forgot to mention i also was treated for sinusitus 3 times during the 2007, had SAH nov 07. Michellexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  21. Hi Leo I have been having headaches for must be 3 years at least before SAH everyday first thing in the morning and all day and going to bed with it. Stupidly i thought up until recently i thought everyone had headaches during the day I used to be begging for tablets from anyone neurophen, paras even the head stuff you smeer on your forehead i must have smelt lovely Friends did say i seemed to be asking for more and more tablest. I just sort of got used to them really two weeks before my SAH i had a warning bleed which i remember where and when it was, it was such an intense pain in my head which lasted about 20 seconds and thought nothing of it and carried on as usual. I was told and asked if i was ok the day before my SAH because i was looking very pale. Hope this helps Love luck and laughter Michellexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
