  11. Welcome to the site we are here to help in any way..well i dont think i can add much to what everyone else had said...although i was in denial and its hard to figure out why, what and who i am and knowing i feel different but i what do i feel like and i was also asking am i different and what is different about me...its all very confusing and it took me ages to sort through in my own mind and difficult for me to put into words, i did use to stand and look at my face in the morror trying to see a differences...i also went to rehab like Louise and i didnt think i needed to be there...that proved me wrong i was there for nearly two weeks and i know now it made a huge difference... I have a neuropsychologist and she is wonderful i felt so safe talking to her and she listened i do think it should be considered standard practise after SAH/stroke for everyone. I dont know whether anything i said has helped but please ask Mandy to have a look at the site we are here to help keep posting and take care. Love luck and laughter Michelle c

Hi Janet and Sami, Codeine and seperate paracetamol was the only combination plus morpheine that worked on me in hospital although the morph dosn't last long, they did try a edinburgh cocktail on me which included peppermint verrrrry strange they tried that twice and it didn't work...anyone had that one???? Well tonight will be my fifth night on 2 amitryptaline the first couple of nights i was quite aggitated today although still having to take para and codeine during the day i have been quite active( more through annoyance:roll: and maybe overdone it so probably will be paying for that tomorrow my arms are quite bad at the mo anyway i had better stop rambling now... Thanks for your replies:-D:-D. Love luck and laughter Michelle c xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  17. Hi Rod and Merrill, I too have high blood pressure and i am on ramipril 5mg and 2.5mg and indapamide 1.mg ( the 2.5mg ramipril has just been added in the last month). My gp welcomed the fact that we bought a bp monitor but only to take it once a day and the same time each day as it can alter during the day ...mine alters from 117/65 sometimes later afternoon to 155/85 in the morning...i was told that bp can rise during the evening in everyone and the best time to monitor it is 1pm and not when you have had something to eat or drink especially hot food. Hope Merrills comes down soon apparently it takes a couple of weeks for b/p tablets to get into the system. Stress is a major cause for my b/p rising for me and worrying subconsciously, which is something i cannot do anything about...try not to worry too much....you both have been through alot at the moment..take care. Take care Michelle c xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Love luck and laughter Michelle c
