  3. Hi, Well here is a small update. I have to have another MRI yes another one this month on my neck to check if my syrinx (syrinomyelia) has expanded which could be causing the pain in my neck legs and arms apparentley. The only thing the neurophyc confirmed was foot drop but as i said i already knew that one! and that was after muscle/nerve testing (painfully). I am still having the absences/seizures mainly at night but i did have one just before going into my appointment to see him:roll: apparently you can have them when you are totally relaxed as it can be a sort of trigger as well. Thats it up to now. Love luck and laughter Michelle c

I also thought you could have some say in how you felt and also have advice from your O/h to support you mine was going to come into work with me make sure there was a rest area for me etc and i only worked 9-12. Unfortunatley i am unable to return to work so that didnt happen, I agree with everyone else get some advice they seem to be dictating when and how, and no you are not over sensitive at all. I have a friend who had a knee replacement and was phase returned over 3 weeks going in 1 hour the 1st week 1 hour the next and 2 hours the last week she works she works 12-3pm. 8. Hey Louise They were wheeling me into have the angio with the B/p test still on my arm and they kept checking it until it would go a little lower but they were not happy......strangest thing tho was the angio hurt so much they thought and still do think that i was getting myself worked up which i wasn't and the results turned out to show i needed more coiling done it was the same pain as the sah but obviously on a smaller scale if you can have one:roll:. I then had 3 more coils put in.....i can tell you now i dont want the angio in 2011 as i have a neck on it:frown:. I do take three bp tablets two ramipril and i indapamide. Love Michelle xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  11. Hi, Mine b/p was high about a year before sah so i bought a lloyds tester and was told to by my Gp. mine still differs everyday especially when i have pain it goes up and thats normal i am told. My radiologist said he would be happy if it was about 130-65 which the lowest i have had is 123-63 the highest 175-110 which is scary. Louise the same happened to me it was so high. Take care michelle x

Hi I suffered with the light the minute my SAH hit they couldnt check my eyes because of the light i still have to wear my sunnies very light shade indoors most days although i do take them off as the daylight darkens but i always have to put them back on if the lights are bright i eventually have a bad head if i have them off for too long anyway i have my darker one for outside and the dreaded supermarkets..my neuro said if you have pain which i do just pop your sunnies on which i do:-D Like Karen i have to take tablets before bed and my head is worse when tired or i have done too much and my Y shaped pillow is brilliant . 17. Hi Laura This must be very upsetting for you and also very puzzling i have the odd crmping and as though someones got their hand in my stomach and moving it around i just put it down to me being me:roll:. The only thing is i had the marena(spelling) coil fitted in June last year cos of pain/heavy periods etc. It all sounds a bit drastic though an hysterectomy?? I wonder what he means central nervous system damage we had the same artery SAH and they kept saying it was a massive bleed is there any chance he could give you more information???. I hope you get some answers take care. Love luck and laughter Michelle c
  18. Hi I was 5 hours in the first hospital when my SAH hit and couldnt open my eyes so they couldnt examine them...all i could see was bright flashing light but because mmy sah was behind the eye i didnt seem able to open them...but on first exam they thought it may be a stroke, they just kept repeating it was a massive bleed when i finally got to the Hallamshire later...no memory of the travelling part from one hospital to the other though...maybe a good thing. Take care Michelle c xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  19. Hi Linda, I have not had experience myself of ritalin but the school i worked at had a boy who used to take Ritalin everyday after lunch because he had ADHD- Attention deficit hyperactive discorder. He was quite fidgety and restless but otherwise fine. Can i ask did they explain why they gave it to you are you restless or anxious? Obvious we are not medical on here. Love luck and laughter Michelle xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  20. Hi Liz how awful what a terrible time you are having for goodness sake how do these managers sleep at night...or maybe not! Myemployers a primary school where i had the SAH were very supportive and left me alone for a least a year and then it was push push push and of course it was April and the dreaded budget and they had to loose 2 teachers and 2 TA's obviously with my health as it is i had no choice but i tell you it hurts being told you won't be able to go back to work they terminated my contract at the end of July 2009, having said that my occ health was and is lovely and can see how i am and is supporting me through ill health retirement (still waiting for the papers) which i have heard is another battle:roll:. Anyway good for you Liz you show them who you are a strong woman who has gone through a SAH and come through it and wants to be able to work and why shouldnt you...well done you. All the best take care Michelle C xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  22. Hi Sarah Welcome to the family. Well you have been through it. I had to have more coils added last year i now have 11 coils, they didnt put more than 8 in due to the same problem with the coils popping out but unfortunately one did and caused a stroke which has left me with left side weakness, deafness (i now wear bilateral hearing aids) and a leg splint for foot drop. Through all that i am so glad to still be here:-D. I had those flashibng light thats you mention i used to call them flashing tinsel and no-one knew what they were Karen helped there though shes brilliant, they are migraine Auoras (spelling) theres a thread on here somewhere, sorry cant remember at the mo head all over the place as usual:lol:. Can i ask did you go to the Hallamshire Hospital?? i am not too far from you i live near Rotherham. Well take care, Love luck and laughter Michelle C xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
