  9. Yes usually 3 months. If you've not heard anything say at 6 months stage get in touch with them, people do fall through the cracks... My surgeon went to Australia just after my 2nd op but I was lucky I was seen my another...
  10. Hi Trace, warm welcome Humour is the best medicine if you cant laugh... I'm like others go back to the docs if one meds not working there should be others, and or as for a referral back to your Nuro the sad truth is we get fobbed off but sometimes WE know ourselves... Don't know if that makes sense.. I'd write stuff down when you go because WE do tend to forget write down how you feel and stuff...
  11. Gemma I was like you too I have no memory of my time in hospital still don't even now, I have no memories of my past either - well done you on getting back to work...

  14. Hi Richard Warm welcome to the site, glad that you found us. Wow! getting back to work well done you.. Glad you found the useful and like Macca your position gives valuable insight, although I'm told docs make the worst patients I'm sure your not like that though. Rest when the body needs it, keep hydrated and enjoy life. take care
  15. Well you could say I moved house - Helmsdale is lovely the thing to remember is its not a holiday.
  16. Hi Nicola Warm welcome to the site so glad that you found us. Like the others you were lucky in the right place at the right time, I think everyone fears the what-if syndrome its natural, I think it does ease as time passes.. take things easy rest and relax and keep hydrated.. take care
  17. Never alone, Sherry we all understand...
  18. Hi Sherry Warm welcome to the site so glad that you found us. You are definitely not alone in hating more that one person speaking at a time, Daff's right get someone to help you though it, councillor / Headway. It does get better, you just have to work at it, find new ways of doing things. It happening in March (for this) is no time at all, you're early in your recovery. Be kind to yourself...
  19. Hi there Yes can relate, but maybe since you've noticed a change maybe go speak with your GP, tell them.. I find writing things down dates and stuff (that's for birthdays's etc), pots and pans, well can't help there. But for your own peace of mind I'd get it checked out..
  20. Jan sorry missed this Wow your lost things are exactly the same as mine, and yes if you/we dont give them insight to how you are because they are never going to understand unless you tell them. And again Yep as time goes on friends and family don't seem as helpful as in the beginning. I hope you continue your recovery and get the support you need. take care
  21. Great news Gail now take things easy. take care, hugs.
  22. Headphones - dont see why not. Yoga - not sure my husband was told I wasnt too but know others that have so Yoga and running I'd seek medical advice either your Neuro or your Gp..
  23. Hi there warm welcome. headaches are about the only thing I dont have now (all that much) anyway my head reacts to the weather. yes I'd get them checked out just for your peace of mind. Are you keeping hydrated, doing way too much or stressed all makes the fatigue much worse I find.. Take care
