  2. Hi there Cant answer the second about the Roller Coasters in my case my head wouldnt allow for that, some docs say Yes some say NO. No not a dumb question at all, I found that as time passed I was able to raise the heat. See if you can get someone else to go on the Roller Coaster with your son. Take care Louise.x
  3. Hi there I havent been here for a couple of days so takes a bit for me to catch up but I just wanted to say I was forever asking how I got to be in hospital, my short term memory seemed to be selective, turned out to be things I really had trouble understanding. Take care of yourself Louise.x
  4. Yeh good new about your Dad something less to think about if you know what I mean. its a thought but then it wont be at the back of your mind wondering. Take it easy Louise.x

    Hello

    Hi there And welcome. Louise.
  8. Hi there Yep I'm with Karen & Aine there too. When I thought I'd reached a plateau I hadnt things were still improving just not as noticeable I'd really say it takes about 2 years. But I think your doing wonderfully you deserve a huge pat on the back. sending hugs Louise.x

  12. When the hair around the bump in my head gets to a certain point I have to get it cut, even though people say your hairs fine it gets so annoying. Got my hair dyed yesterday at the hairdressers its darker than normally but nice change not having to do it myself. Louise.x
  13. Lighter evenings & brighter days always a good thing in my book. Louise.x
  14. Hey there Again I think because mines was so bad in a weird way I was lucky I got the physio to help with balance/walking co-ordination, speech thearapy, O/T, phycologist. But when I got discharged I never had any contact info, the O/T got me the place at college called me the end of my thrid week there to see how I was finding it, & I have never spoken to her since. I just had my visits to the consultant. But yes I would totally agree dont hold back asking for help & if its offered take it even if you think you dont need it. Sarah go as long as you feel the need to even if you think your wasting the persons time if your not ready to stop dont. I would say that its more when things settle down that I found the need again to see someone which I did but I only got 2 appointments because I'd already been in the system which I didnt think right. 15. Hi there Not about headachs but Sami you said the worse time for a ciggie is when I have a drink, as you know here the ban has been in effect for a year & a lot of people say that because there isnt the smell of smoke in the pub its not a problem, I also know lots of people that have cut down stopped too since the ban. 16. And there was me devastated when I went white were the scars were. Funny isn’t? Louise.
  17. Oh yes When I had the SAH I went very grey & in the places they operated on it was 'white' when the colour is comming out its like multi colour swatches all the different shades, but its really course now I keep it really short (really short) I have tried letting it get a little longer but its just not to be Louise.x

  22. Hi Ainie Welcome back Do you mean physologist? I saw one twice a day whey I was in the re-hab hospital then as an outpatient. My brain was surverly damaged but I dont know if they said it in that way I'd need to ask Ronnie that one! Take care Louise.xx
  23. Hi Ella Welcome to the site, there are a couple of people on here that's Mum's have had SAH's Hannah's the only name that springs to mind at the minute. I think you just have to keep pointing out about it. Its the people that know us are the best judges I find, my husband was like that with me. Hope we hear more from you Take care Louise.
  24. Yes for not an all that common thing a lot have them. 5 days after they sent me a letter I was back in with viral menigitis my boss wouldnt even take Ronnie's phone calls, dosnt bother me at all now but he still gets really annoyed when he sees anyone from my old office. Louise.
  25. Hi there At least you walked away instead of making yourself worse I got made redundant a couple of months after having the SAH, re-structuring they said - paid off they meant, now I know I couldn't have gone back to work but then I was gutted. Take care Louise.
