  1. Hm I've got a shunt & a tube never been told, have to try & mind to ask her next time I'm there, (though some chance of remembering) maybe that's how I always feel even after a check up visit...... L.x

  8. Hi there Yes I've had a filling done since the SAH, its at the same side as I have the tube & shunt which really (really) worried/scared (whimp here too) but although its not my fav way to spend a 1/2 hour or so it was ok I just explained what had happened & how I felt, she was lovely about it thank-goodness. The un-knowing is the worst I think. Take care Louise.x
  9. Aine Just asked on the other bit why they stopped the Angio so now I know, that must have been hell. Was it the Western? they are all lovely there, the nurse that used to be on the ward I was in works in the theatre now Fiona she's really lovely makes all the differece. Hate the 4 hours lie after though. Hope your better today, take care Louise.xx
  10. Funny because my friend said to me yesterday I'm not as easy going as I used to be. And that's right I used to take everything in my stride nothing bothered me or if it did I would never let it show so no-one knew now its total oppsite. Louise.x

  12. Yes its those few seconds that feels like hours isnt? I had to give myself a proper talking too, to get over it I can tell you, your right Scott they talk about getting back to a normal life hate that word 'normal' what's that, but they have to I guess. & no there seems to be a complete lack of afterwards it can only be our insight into it than can tell them. Well all from me for now, not too good again today myself this weathers hell..... Oh-no not football 'again' Louise.xx
  13. When I first came home from hospital I was on anti siezure meds so I would sleep all day if you let me then when I came off them I found it harder, now it all depends on what's going on, I have a good couple of days then pow!!! can lie awake for hours, it's a vicious circle. Louise.x
  14. Hi there I panic in large crowds, the supermarket just being out in shops, it’s been something that I can’t control/overcome/beat. Yes its very easy to loose confidence, for me its something that comes & goes with how I am feeling in myself, I try my hardest not to let it beat me, its difficult at time's (ok a lot) but I like to think I am so lucky that I am actually able to go to the shops on my own even if I have to walk out before I have even got anything - have done that on many occasions (got to the shops walked in then promptly walked straight back on & home). This is a very good thread Karen...... Louise.x
  15. Hi there Yes high blood pressure which I never knew I had till I went for an angio & they woulnd do it. For me its: Bendrofluazide 2.5mg Amlodipine 5mg Atenolol 50mg Take care Louise.x
  16. Hi there Welcome to the site. Louise.
  17. Hi there I know that a lot of people's taste changed after this. I used to loath hospital food but found the problem was - I wasnt able to fill in the menu so the nurses did it for me, they just put what they liked so I used to hate it. Ronnie used to bring me in soup in a flask I took a liking for Weightwatchers Chicken noodle, I found Weightwatchers the best one espesically if your thinking salt or lack there of. Maybe ask what she'd really fancy...... Take care Louise.xx
