  1. Hi Sarah I had fluid on the brain, I dont know what kind of clip I have either I didnt know of anyone who did (till now that is). Too be honest I dont even have a clue where the SAH was, but then I know some people do. Take care Louise.
  2. Hi Hannah Ronnie had that problem filled out a 43 page form which they gave him, to be told a few weeks later he'd filled out the wrong form..... Louise.x
  3. Hi there I forgot that was on, but its not really my thing terrible to say, however is gets something across to others? David Tennant (think he's the Scottish guy) Sometimes I dont think you get 'emotionally healed' there always seems something. Louise.x
  4. Hi there That's such good news about your Mum & yes Miracles do happen you just have to hang in there. Take care Louise.

    Hi to all.

Hi Christine Welcome, Keith's right take it easy, I know that every little thing is worrying but it gets better time as they say is a great healer. Take care Louise.x
  6. Good one Keith But yes it just seems to be when I sit down woosh up it goes, the 24 hour one although annoying at least its ok, although I get such a fright every time it goes off. :? Louise.
  7. Hi Keith I now have high blood pressure, I'm on Bendrofluazide, Amlodipine & Atenolol. when I found out I also tried to eat better this dosnt work all the time for me though but I try & make it not only the meds helping me. I didnt have high BP before eg when I was in hospital but it was caused by an enormous lot of stress & because I'd had the SAH I was more prone to high BP, I remember my consultant telling me when I left hospital for the second time avoid stress as much as you can - not possible in day to day life I dont think. I found out about it because I went for an Angio when I got my BP taken they asked if I was worried not looking forward to it but the doctor wouldnt do the angio it was to dangerious, so that's how I found out. My BP is always quite high but when I get the 24 hour monitor its always fine I think its just the thought of getting it taken that puts it up. Take care Louise.
  8. Hi Karen Yes I'm going to get intouch like Sami I'll just email her direct too, the more awareness the better I think. Louise.xxx
  9. Hi Sue In a word to your questions YES. memory, getting words mised up etc get worse when they're tired? mine certainly do YES mines did not as bad now but if I'm stressed & tired then its bad. I used to go to my GP quite a bit in the begining just for simple reassurance dosnt hurt to ask. I dont remember anything about the 5 weeks I spent in the hospital the re-hab hospital is just a blurr. I found you have to explain to your family & friends how it is for you NOW get them to understand think that was one of the hardest things for me which is probably the reason I'm quite blunt about it now. Well think thats all just now hope your having a good Friday take care Louise.x

    My Sister

Hi there Yes thanks for the update, no dont feel guilty enjoying yourself it takes great strength in being possitive all the time you need to chill out & I'm glad your doing it. They said I would be 80% disabled & I'm not I'm 80%+ able there's always hope & the improvements in 2 months have been wow as you say you rather have her re-learning than not at all!!!! Keep looking after yourself & having chill out times. Take care Louise.xx

    Hello

Hi there Welcome to the site. Think everyone's covered it, good old swings & roundabouts :? Louise.x
  15. Hi Hannah Really pleased to hear things are going a lot better, yes thinking back I dont know where the staff at the re-hab I was in got their patiences from, I hope that once the meds are better you'll see more improvements although its terrible that the other hospital have done that makes you think. Take care of yourself Louise.x
  16. Hi I dont drive but I was told that I couldn't for a year because I had seizures if I wanted to drive I would have to contiue with the midication but as I said I dont drive so didnt affect me. I think its an individual thing, again back to we're all different . Louise.
  17. Oh been there!!!! Everybody must have thought me a right old & my temper was so short I would get really mad all the time. Thankfully this passed totally in about 6 months. I think the saying is now that I dont suffer fools lightly (I think). I did lots of things that were totally out of charector for me I cringe at them now but at the same time I laugh at it too. Louise.
  18. Since the SAH my temperature has been really weird one side of me can be hot the other cold if somebody takes my hand says Oh your freezing I put my other across Ah strange!!! In the winter I'm freezing - I mean really cold & In the summer I'm really HOT I know strange....
  19. I was just reading Tracey's post when I remembered that I had, had lots of time off work for nothing that I could put my finger on bad colds, upset stomach's, bugs I would be fine for months. My boss at the time was always not really that nice I'd wished I'd meet him after to say "See I was ill" Louise
  20. Know this sounds daft but I dont remember what I eat before SAH, one of the problems when I came out I didnt know what to cook had to keep asking (still do) what to have for dinner its a big pain. I try to eat more fruit veg chicken fish & since finding out I have high blood pressure garlic, fresh herbs are amongst 2 things that I wouldnt touch before but love now. Wasnt a huge fan of Pasta before have it at least 3 times a week Ronnie dosnt like it so the nights he's out that's me. Louise.
  21. Hi there Carol, Metallic smell & taste I had that at once point wont be related but it was because the doctor gave me anti-biotics that didnt go well with other meds I was on, so I felt a lot worse that I was horrible cant sympathise. Found out with that though that some Meds can do that after SAH. Doubt that will help but thought I'd say. Karen, I have to do things too when I remember, I had a fairly good day Tuesday but paid for it yesterday really tired - winter........ Take care Louise.x
  22. I had a seizure when I had the SAH & once in the hospital when they knew they had to operate, Ronnie says that the doctor told him Louise will tell us when we have to operate. I was on Sodium Valporate for about a year & a half I was told that if I wanted to drive I would have to go back onto it, which is fine I dont drive. I was told at the Re-hab hospital to stop taking it I'd been on it a year & a half at this time but when my GP got the letter from them he told me not to stop it at once to gradually come off it, thank god he did because I dropped it down every 3/4 weeks & even then (guess you could say) went 'cold turkey' Another time one doctor said one thing another said something else, the consultant at the Neuro agreed with the GP by the way. Louise
