Also Jan,
Thank Goodness we made it to see our kids again, no matter what age and adaptations we made, to be able to tell them how much we love them.
Thank our Families for sticking by our sides, when others gave up on us. The Love we felt when we awoke. Everyone who knew us before SAH/bleed was caring for us. Now they have adapted and I guess so must we.
Life goes on but we have altered slightly, I cannot take noise and arguments. (Unless it is me singing) ha ha
Be well Both xx
Love

Phew thought I'd never get rid of check boxes lol
Hello Sally,
I had coiling done when my head was bleeding and everyone says it is so much easier when there is no blood about.
You will still feel hesitant but they will sort you out xx xx
Glad I was in cuckooland when I had my shunt put in for hydrocephalus .
This site is a God send and it is good to know you are not alone in this xx
Wishing you all the best and chin up xx

Hi Lise,
I had an SAH and it is much easier for you that there is no bleed they have to contend with.
Coiling is so much less invasive, but it is natural for you to be worried so worry away xx
Good luck and when is op ? All will be okay. xx
Keep Strong

Hi Josie,
My Daughter has panic attacks and she always keeps water with her when she feels uptight.
I wish you good luck on anxiety and hope it goes.
I had a weird feeling like a migraine and my eye went dotty so I assumed it was a migraine and this was in a Café.
Once my food came up and hubby came back, I felt secure xx Food always helps me lol xx
Good luck and do not let anxiety win, you can beat it xx

Hi Robert,
Glad all is okay your end and you sound like you are doing so well.
Do not worry if you get down moments as we all get them. Sounds like you are doing really well.
In the early days decisions were my downfall, as I didn't want to make the wrong decision ha ha, that wound my family up more.
You are doing so well, so be proud of any little improvements and if you get a little forgetful it is your brain telling you relax.
Keep Well Robert and smile always xx
All the best Win xxxx Note: Pop into Green room when you have spare time?? if ever lol and let us know how day went xx

Hi Josie,
Life is precious as I found out after my SAH.
Take it slow and do it at your own speed. I had mine in 2009 and was told I'd not walk again but 60/200 yards feels good.
So never give up and keep happy always as we are the lucky ones. A song or a smile always helps me keep cheery.
Yesterday was a bad day for me but today all is well, no tears lol poor hubby xx
Take care of yourself and water as Clare said xx
All the Best

Hi Deb and Joe
I had my SAH 2009 and still get tired, but it is great to be alive, I agree !!
Something went in my back and it stops me walking too far, but they said I would never walk again. 60/200 yards depending on how I feel.
Good luck on your journey's and never give up xx
A song helps me and a smile xx and knowing I am not alone in this, we can all understand when others have a bad day xx
Keep a smile at hand for bad days.
Good luck you both

Hi again Victoria,
I have laughed with all on here and been a pain in the butt typing on others posts, singing a song you name it I have done it on here.
They BTG/ Family stuck by me and gradually found I needed to sing and laugh to get through it, and as Michelle has just put about her Partner, how they want us to be better sooner than our brain is ready to let us get back to some normality !! (I was never normal) !!
Serious though, do what suits you in your own time and you will get there.
God Bless you and keep moving forward and sing xx

I went to an optician before my SAH, he was Canadian and he told me I had a wonky disk in my eye ?
So gave opticians letter to my Doc who said he did not know what he meant. Good Doc I have lol.
Anyway a year later I had my SAH and to this day, I wonder if them dismissing the opticians letter was a warning to me ?
But back to my eyesight, it is getting worse and worse also xx We have a big TV and do you think I can see what writing says at bottom of screen. Hold a menu close to my face ha ha xxxx
Good luck All wherever you are xxxx cant see a thing xxxxx joking although it is nothing to joke about xxx !! Win in serious mode xx
See a proper optician xxx

Hi Victoria,
I am no longer the woman I once was, instead of arguing back I cry lol. but I find it easier to be happy than waste my life worrying as I find being happy is less stressful than wanting to growl at them like this Grrrrr !! lol xx
I sing when I feel down and music cheers me up, poor family as I'm tone deaf.
We understand what you are going through. Stress is bad for us so we need happiness around us xx
I cannot walk very far and hubby is a moaner when he has to take wheelchair out lol
But getting better but have off days like we all do so listen to Win. Ready?
Only talk to people who do not moan or tell you sad things. Keep thinking happy thoughts morning and evening and when family get to you have a sleep xx
Good luck and I hope all goes well
Win xxxxxxxxxx
Plus hubby has a boat also !! How am I supposed to be wheeled over the wooden gang plank wobble wobble ha!

Hi Robert,
Glad to see all is going well with you.
I did think about you over hols, then went to Wales and wasn't fit for man nor beast. Too much travelling in 2 days !!
Glad to hear all is going well with you and family.
Belated Happy New Year and may you go from strength to strength.
Keep a smile at hand it helps "wink" (that's me telling you to be strong so wink = chin up) ha ha x

Do you think it could be to do with the lumber injections we had ? Base of spine and so on ??
We all have had some pains and I still get them 7 years on nearly hmm !! just a thought.
Be well all
Win and hands a smile around to all with back aches

I had real bad back pains and Doc gave me injections for Sciatica which helped the bad pains but I have ongoing pains when I walk over 200 yards and it is stopping me walking, Did not help that a new OT came in and bent my legs until they cracked. I felt every bone in my hips crack.
She was one young girl who didn't know what she was doing, she came 4 days and 1 of those days she never turned up and 1 day she had kids with her and had to rush. So in 2 days she told our Doc I was up and walking.
Good when you get a miracle worker ..not !!
Good luck All xxxxx Misery Win xxxxx lol

Hi Sharon,
Hubs is more than likely feeling vunerable at the moment but he shouldn't take it out on you !!
He has realised that he is not invincible.
When I woke up after being in Dreamland for an age I started to prepare for my funeral as I thought this is it lol xx
I joke but it 's scary when you find that you could have died as I had Ventriculitis, UTI, Sepsis and still struggle to walk.
I got back ache real bad and it stops me walking xx All I can say is talk to him, I found singing happy songs cheered me up.
He has to learn there is life after a SAH. You have been scared witless also. Get him out the house even if it's for a coffee decaff !!
All the Best
Win xx xx Tell him to type on here as he will see there are others also and we are still living xxxx Good luck

Sophie,
You sound scared enough but get it sorted, at least for your peace of mind. While you are worrying about this your stress level is rising.
You know it makes sense to go to hospital.
Good luck
Win xx
-
Sophie,
Ask them to not play about and ask if they can bring it forward as stress is bad for us xx
Better to be safe than sorry
Good luck xx

It is good to know Subs has helped you xx
He will appreciate it as he was on the other end of it, watching his wife go through what we have gone through.
Glad all went well for Christmas Robert, and keep the good work up.
Keep that smile at hand also and if you tire just have a sleep.
Be Well and keep typing xx

Hi Robert,
Glad you are on an upper and not a downer, a trouble shared as the saying goes !!
So good to know we are not alone in this, and we all understand what each other is struggling against.
I'll make it short and just pass a silly grin on to you.
Yes I've always had this daft smirk so stop taking micky lol
Win xx Had any water today ???

Welcome to BTG Robyn,
As I always say "My Surgeon told me Stress is bad for us" so less stress will be good for you xx
You must not listen to others problems while getting over this and calm is order of the day.
Keep in a happy frame of mind and rest when needed xx
Take care of yourself, drink water and here is a smile to keep you going on down days, as I read when you smile you cannot feel miserable or down as a smile overtakes all troubles. I have tried this and it works with me. A real smile about good times when you laughed so much you cried. Hands a pretend smile to Robyn xx
Wishing you all the best

So be of good cheer and get ready to sing and look out for CarolynUSA xxxx
Be Happy

Hi Again Robert,
I hope you, wife and baby have a good Christmas, and all goes well for you xx
Now keep typing when you need to talk to someone as there is always someone here for us.
If not I'll just blabber away lol. Now get stuck into book, I found my concentration had gone and didn't enjoy reading as much as I used to.
I kept reading over the same lines !! So I sing instead..my poor family.
Good luck and enjoy Christmas xx
When tired just have a lay down. Hark at me telling you how to live !!!
Take Care and I'll shut up
Best Wishes to you and Family

Hi Jennifer,
I was so scared when I awoke after having shunt put in.
That was before I found this site, well my Daughter did and it helped her and it has helped me no end also.
To know you aren't the only one and life still goes on. Look at us on here, we have all been through it and have come out the other end.
We can still laugh and rant on here if needed, I look upon this site as my safe haven.
I was so scared when I found out what had happened to me, as I did not remember a thing.
So we are the ones who made it so be of good cheer or else I'll sing to you lol..not a pleasant sound.
Good luck
Win xx

The Struggle is Real
in Non-Aneurysm SAH or Perimesencephalic SAH

Hi PJ,
All I can do is ditto what others have put xx ie drink water as it helps head. Perhaps ask you to read this and imagine if your brain could speak to you xx
Now take it easy and I know you have a lot to contend with but I find not to listen to Doom and gloomers tales, rest up when you can and listen to your body. I find a smile helps me to get through rough times. Perhaps one day you can and will smile again and no stress my surgeon said. So I sing when down xx poor you, you have yet to hear me sing/type a song out xx
Wishing you well
Winb143 xxxx Welcome to BTG xxxx
