kellieone Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 hi all i have been out today and it is quiet cold and windy and noticed my head felt very cold and had a few short lived pains. is this something to expect during the cold? xx Quote
rod123 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hi kellie when merrill my wife was discharged from hospital they gave us a whole pile of info to read through and i remember reading that it said your head may be more sensitive to hot and cold and that a sun hat maybe required in the summer and something to keep your head warm in the winter so this is normal for some people as she was told to expect it,hope that helps Best wishes Rod Quote
Karen Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hi Kellie, I experienced the same after the SAH ..... many of us have found, that we've had to wear a hat in the winter time ... I still wear a hat in the winter, especially when it's windy .... xx I've just read Rod's reply and yes, I also wear a hat out in the garden in summer .... Quote
Janet Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hi Kellie Me too always have to wear a hat now once the weather gets cold. Have quite a collection of caps now Quote
tennissmithy Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hi Kellie, I've become a hoody I've started already, don't go far now without a hoody! Head is definitelty more sensitive since SAH! Quote
Tina Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Hi Kellie Me too....i hate hats but have had to when very cold....certainly does make you more sensitive to cold ! Definitely have something ready for when cold or cold wind brrrr ! Take care Love Tina xx Quote
kellieone Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 thanks everyone! glad its not just me being over sensitive xx Quote
Skippy Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Hey there Me too - always have to wear a hat now if I'm out in the cold - not so bad in the summer, but definitely where one in the winter, especially if its windy. Quote
Super Mario Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I also have to wear a hat but not because my head gets cold but because my shunt gets so cold it seems to burn through my head. Hot and sunny weather also has the same effect. Quote
Vivien Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I think most of us wear hats in the winter:) There were some pics on the gallery, not sure if they are still there Vivien x Quote

DebbieMcKenzie Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I haven't really noticed a cold head yet. But I have noticed that I get a sweaty head when I start to feel slightly warm. Have noticed it a lot this winter especially when the heating is on. Quote
