  4. That was interesting read, I liked Marmite since I was little especially on toast. I just wanted to share something about Marmite with you, when we came to London about 10 years ago my son was invited to go on a trip, he was offered a sandwich from his teacher, he thought it was some choclolate spread and took a big bite of the sandwich and was so shocked at what he was eating! he asked his teacher what it was and then she told him it was Marmite, he never heard of Marmite before let alone taste it, so now he is always careful if someone gives him a chocolate spread sandwich, he is one of those people who hate Marmite!

  7. Hi Rod Sorry to hear about Merrill's speech problems and the jerking, in relation to her speech problem I have the same problem too, it started about 1 month after my SAH. I was admitted to hospital for it too which I did not think was necessary and had a speech therapist the conclusion was that it was part of the damage done from the SAH. It's like words gets stuck in my head and I cannot say them or they take time for the words to come out. I feel more comfortable in an environment that I am familiar with but start struggling with speech with new surroundings and more so when I am tired. I have not had problems with jerking but I have found that my muscles have become weaker and I tend to feel pain a lot more even when having my BP done . Hope it goes well for you and Merrill on the 25th.

  12. I have been on 5 different tablets for high BP since my SAH apparently there is a problem with me getting high BP so I now need to keep visiting the cardiologists too. I do get stressed so quickly and nervous and this morning I was the same too which gave a reading of 193/121 I know I need to go back to GP regarding this but I won't let me stress about it too much.

  15. Hi Debbie I still suffer from speech problems especially when I get tired and then everything comes out slurred. My grammar is really bad now but more so with numbers it takes a while for me to comprehend how the number should be written that is why when I have to take numbers down they have to speak slowly so that I can register how to write them down. I know how you feel because no one really understands, it's so frustrating when you want to say something and you simply can't. Take care.
