Glad Chris is doing well Alison.....us Bleeders are a handful....So I am told by hubby enough times !..lol Cheeky so and so. Keep bright and make time for you Alison.....We are demanding bleeders !!! .. ..I now make my own coffee and prepare dinners for family. ...but back aches when I stand too long but as I was and how I am now .....I am almost there...when people say you wont do this again you have to prove them wrong..well it kept me going xx Do not give up Alison....you are a fighter also like Chris..so head up and go get em..lol I told my OT's they were a load of old witches lol....but I was out of it..that's my excuse !!!! When people upset you...do what I do ...call them all the names under the sun(under breath) .then laugh toss head in air and walk away still cussing under breath ..in my case limp away..lol Head up shoulders back..as my Mum would say "Head up Win look em in the eye, you are better than them" So remember do not let others upset you or they have won....Calm is good for us and our brain...so deep breathing after 3 ready a1 a2 a3 Breathe in....Breathe out.....Bliming breathless now lol Laters all Love Win xxxxxxxxxx

Sorry to hear about your wife....when I came home from hospital after SAH....I was home approx 7/8 months and then my family rang up hospital (had hydrocephellus ) check spelling !!! I am not saying your wife has hydrocephellus just telling you what I had Had a shunt fitted..then I knew who my family were....sounds daft but I saw my Parents and family who had passed on before shunt was fitted ..once shunt was fitted I came back to reality..... phew thank goodness. I never had high pitched voice but it is deeper than before...when I sing (screech) I cannot reach the high notes lol I sleep and eat more than I did before...who am I kidding...I've always loved food. ...Gone off fruit loved it before My daughter and hubby said before SAH I was a prudish what me a prude !!! cheek ...not so much now.as I don't care who I talk to. When in wheelchair when my back goes I make conversations with other in chairs my daughter goes Mum shhhh lol I say meet you in next aisle some laugh some dont know how to take me..... lol Have a happy day all and always laugh xxxx or I'll run you over in my chair..lol Love WinB143 xxxxxxxx

Do not let the idiot get to you David .....you be your normal self and you know you are better than him.... Just work and be yourself ...but I know how you feel...before my SAH I would put others in line... Then after my SAH others used to be rude/bullied me...like the OT's . I didn't take it before my SAH ..and I wont take it now I am more like my old self.... Be Happy David and smile you have done so well xx Love WinB xx

I agree with all that Bill and Jess have said......try not to be down.....keep happy and smile ..we have all been through a similar illness so at least we understand...Cheer up and live life to the full Keep Happy and it is early days for you yet but time is a great healer Try singing also it helps me but drives family up the wall..lol Love WinB143 xxxx

Hi Lisa, You have got over the major bit, the actual incident...time helps and try not to rush it ....you look back in 6 months then a year Then think back and see how well you have done!!! I find singing and thinking happpy thoughts makes me brighter....My singing is getting my husband and daughter down lol Try and go for a coffee decaff of course...and a hugh cake....No shhhh I am on a diet Good luck in your recovery Love WinB143 xx

Hi Alison, Try not to worry too much......I used to think I was in a cafe when I was in bed in hospital lol..I used to say to my daughter "Get my bag Sarah I'll pay" the bill....(daft aint I lol ...Well you said it Win) ...... He will get better and calm down ....been there got the scars ....lol Try and sing songs he likes get him to sing also.. My sister and sister in law used to to get me to sing..poor other patients....lol....We harmonised well in a fashion.... Hi All, My surgeon put me in ICU and I was moved to HDU but then I was put on normal ward because hospital was so busy...Surgeon said what is she doing in here....so I guess thats where hospitals fall down...too many carers and not enough nurses.....and no spaces???? But we must all keep smiling and getting better and we are the lucky ones Love to all WinB

I cannot remember much...but my hubby and daughter would not leave me unattended in hospital. In my dreamlike state I was chased by someone with a pipe....I like SLou had catheter infection it burnt me.... I do think the surgeon was good..but being in coma and having blood poisoning, Ventriculitus....Well I guess I am lucky to be alive !! the surgeon came to see me and had to tell nurses not to let my bedsores go to a 4..whatever that is on scale....? The nurses/carers jumped when the surgeon was on his rounds....as I have said before my daughter said to nurse./carers ."scuse me but I think my Mums catheter is full".... The carer/ nurse said l'll be over in a while" as my daughter walked away...The nurse/carer said Jeezus"....and tutted It was bad enough for my family going through this without having Carers and Nurses seeming non caring !!! I must say my daughter said not all nurses/carers were like that....but a few tarnish the reputation of good caring nurses/carers. My daughter didn't want me left with the bad carers/ nurses. ..or ones that have no feelings for fellow human beings..........one women was fed a spoonful...she was out of it ....nurse /carer wrote did not want it .on her chart. I believe my husband and daughter and I am so glad I had them on my side Love to All WinB143 xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Dawn, I felt abandoned today also.......Been told..No shopping trip ,,,No brunch ...sulks set in ...I became teary....and felt neglected .... I wasn't being neglected..but I was on a downer lol....I get them now and again......swearing helps but it sounds so bad My poor family...but my daughter said she will take me out..My hubby says "No I'll take your mum out" I am all happy .... or was ! This was at 8am and he said just let me sort my phone out,.......10.30 I was still sitting in chair ....... grrrrrrrrrrrrr I was fuming ...so me being a sulker, took myself of to bed. Muttering swear words....crying and eyes becoming redder....Well they are anyway !!. Go see Doc and tell him/her how you feel..they wont understand but get it off plate xx But all is well here now. Hiya Nic Hope all goes well for you x I had SAH and had coil fitted in 2009....for a year after SAH I slept a lot and drifted iinto dreamlike state hence hydrocephelus getting worse...so I had a shunt put in.2010....now I am so much better apart from walking ie backache really bad can only walk a little way .......... but I was told I would never walk....showed them.... David I was asleep most of the time so you have done well..but now I have shunt fitted I am more with it..Just lol If I feel tired I doze off......but you work...I do not ....I can shop a lot though ! I find night time hard to sleep but in the day....I think I should get a gold medal for it lol My poor daughter gets sore feet wheeling me around the shops David you will get better and stronger and I will walk .....give it time and never give up...and sing xx Good Luck Regards WinB143
