Hi all, After being told I would not walk again by PT's, I have been walking in shopping centres etc pushing wheel chair..trying to prove them wrong. Still not made it to M & S yet !! back hurts real bad.......... but wait for it !!!!!!! I climbed my stairs!!!!.......ok used my hands near top but I made it to my bedroom...the state of it !!!!! lol....never moved so quick back down lol.. I looked like my Sarah when she was young climbing stairs .... Hubby has now done bedroom up,. well okay got rid of cobwebs....and changed the sheets bless him, it was done by myself in 2009 just before my SAH ....lol He said, " I have not been in there without you" ahh Bless Him x... ...Good liar he is lol My daughter said he slept on settee in case he got call from hospital.....ahhhh again..Sounds like a panto Just want to say to You All ....................Never give up Sharing this with you and thinking how much I love. him...until next cross words we have. ha ha Love WinB143 xx

Good for you James......was you happy when you came round?.......I was so happy to be alive and see my daughter ,hubby and family again..... I was so elated that I had made it...They said I was singing in hospital...so I still sing now, ..poor family . Hi there, As the others said Victoria, just listen to body..ie...if tired rest but also !!!! ......get people to take you out for lunch and dinner Then go shopping, ....to buy some chocs..then pass them to me lol Seriously try and be happy if poss, smiling keeps me bright, also I sing a lot( My poor family) I am tone deaf lol If you have a good day let your family know.....They have been scared for you, as mine were for me....but make the most of it ...as they (My Family) are getting back to normal the better I get..lol, I just luv to be spoilt but SAH is a drastic step for being spoilt Keep smiling Victoria and be happy. Welcome to BTG.....I was so happy when I came out of the dreamworld I was in......My Family have been the ones who have been thru the mill Seriously I am really happy that I am alive and can see my daughter and hubby again..They are my life ...... If you feel down just think of your family Brothers Sisters and all .... Glad of my Family ...sorry hospital didn't recognise your symptoms straight off really ....but we are here....yeah !!!!!! Read all the replies sent to you, take a step back and think ... think about you getting better every day. Life is good...Have you got a family who love you?..if so give them a thought and what they have been through while you was ill. Oh to be 9/5 again my aim is 12 stone lol ....It is all those chocs I ate when I had shunt fitted...and came back to land of living Well I haven't walked for one and a half years......today is a good day for me limping about the house,,so I'll never give up...even tho told by PT's ...."she will never walk again" Keep well all xx. Hi Robert I have had SAH, ..was out of it for approx a year...what with Sepsis and Ventriculitus ...glad I had shunt fitted ..living in the real world now.. My Dads sister had brain op...but all my family said her hubby had hit her on the head..Nice Family..lol She might of had SAH ? but just passed out, all she remembered was turning on lights.She was never the same and I don't know if it was SAH, I was only young in fact too young to remember....she had a dent in her temple area?? Hi Karen, I am not helping you`as`I cannot remember my first year although my daughter said I was chatting but mostly sleeping and when I chatted I made no sense lol ....Whats new !! Try and take it calmer and when down, ermmm ,,,I sing....(can you sing?) we could do a duet J/K I am a bad singer. Hiya Kate, I know you will worry about your Dad it is natural....He will come around in his own time...took me a year before the Docs decided to give me a shunt op...I was only in hospital for 3 days and gradually I came back to land of living...memory got better and better, ,,,,,, still use words like whatshisname and thingymebob but then I always did..lol... Started diet a month ago...love cakes !!!! ..went potty on chocs when I came around and was told what happened to me.....when things get rough for me...I sing..drives others potty........ Hi Jan, Sounds like we have same Doc .... I made appoint 5th Jan... they said okay end of January...4 weeks nearly !! okay 3 weeks lol Before my SAH if Doc would not give me appointment when I needed it...I would say "okay can I have home visit"...they soon fitted me in. Since my SAH I am more quieter (No I am not who am I kidding lol ) a little quieter then. !!!.No Win stop lying ..oh gosh anyway Hope you cheer up and feel better in yourself....Now try and sing or do somthing that makes you happy Good luck Love WinB143 x

Hi Elaine, Welcome to BTG .....I have always worn sunglasses even when not needed ...hides the bags and red eyes !! lol I cannot remember my 1st year so cannot help you...but do not let it beat you....it could be a form of fear or tensing up... When I passed out with bleed/SAH ...I wasn't fully with it, and do not remember the July09 til sept. 2010... . My husband said the surgeon was good...but sorry to say the hospital staff where lacking in aftercare..A nurse tried to stand me up after my op...but I do not remember ...my daughter saw her and said "isnt my mum supposed to be in bed at a certain angle and not Standing ?"this was a day after op.the nurse wanted to get me on (camode) Not all nurses where as bad as others, some where kind`my Hubby and Daughter said...I am glad I do not remember a lot..or I would be angry like the writer of this link is I am fine now~got blood poisoning ie Sepsis and ventriculitis.....I do not what caued it and oh and bed sores ? The surgeon told the nurses he didn't wat the bed sore to go to a No.5....or was it 4 ??? memory loss ..lol. Glad I had a good surgeon who kept an eye on me...Call me lucky lol...Just got to learn to walk.....While on here the NHS have taken my money and when I get ill they offer me £7.00 per month...if I hadn't caught so many germs I 'd be up and walking. but ever day I improve thanks to Hubby and Daughter xx I pay for my own Hydrotherapy now...and all my needs.. swear words lol Love WinB143 xxx
