  2. Hi Ian A very warm welcome to BTG. Glad you found us. Sorry to hear you are still suffering from sharp short pains in your head all the time. It may well be to do with the fact your BP can not be controlled at present. Having constant headaches is bound to get you down and must be very hard for you to cope with. You have not mentioned whether you have managed to get back to work at all? If you are finding it hard to see the future positively, maybe you could ask your GP if they can get you some counselling. There is normally a waiting list, but i found it very helpful to talk to someone away from family and friends. You will find lots of helpful information and support here. We look forward to hearing more from you. Take care Tina.

Wishing you well with your on going recovery and hope that with your positive thoughts, it wont be long before you are putting your new golf clubs in the back of your new car sitting on the drive also sounds like you had a very wise old teacher! We look forward to hearing more from you. Take care Tina.
  4. Posted on behalf of Jimble. Hi I had a bleed back in September 2012 - I was a social smoker smoking mainly when I went out drinking which wasn't often - which after the bleed I quit. Like everybody else I have had my worries over the years with odd sensations in my head but have ignored and lived a normal life and find everything that I've wanted to do in life - cycle exercise etc. Unfortunately July 6th this year 2016 I was loading my car with DJ equipment and I felt like someone tapped my forehead on the inside with accompanying pain - it bothered me slightly but then I felt the familiar fuzzy neck. I went to a+e and after a ct scan it was confirmed that I had had another bleed. Similar place to the last one. Reading other people comments on here it is extremely rare for people that have peremesenphslic (spelling ) bleeds to have another one - according to doctor that did my angiogram I am only the 2nd person he is aware of that its happened too! As for the bleed I am recovering well after angiogram everything has heeled and I have no aneurysm's - my headaches are minimal now (2 weeks on) I am very surprised how well things are going this time (and relieved ) Anyway the parting words from the doctor st the hospital was - you are highly unlikely to suffer another bleed !! I notice somebody on one of the comments said something about if you have another bleed - but lottery tickets!! Well I did !! Let's just say I will be going back to work! Am I worried that I will have another bleed it's always on my mind as it will be yours - but as before I will just get on with things and not let it stop me from doing things I want to do. The only precautions I've taken is I don't go on roller coasters that go upside down. I found this forum very supportive last time - any strange feelings I had I asked on here and people re assured me - so ask say if you are ever unsure best wishes jim
  5. Hi Megan, Sorry you have had this set back when life had been pretty good. It could be your barometer head is just adjusting back. A few of us on here are affected by the weather and it causes a horrible pressure headache. Not nice at all. I would definitely suggest going to see your Doctor and get checked out, blood pressure etc and for peace of mind. Really hope your headaches and anxiety ease. Take care and let us know how you get on. Tina xx

  7. Hi Richard A very warm welcome to BTG. Glad you found us and the website has helped you with all the valuble information. BTG and the support from other members has been a Godsend to me. I had a ruptured berry aneurysm, brain stem, 7 hours craniotomy and like Sarah have huge respect for surgeons. Saved my life twice. The headaches lasted a long time for me but they did improve over time. As Jess has said drink plenty of water and rest up as much as you can. Your job is a very full on brain taxing job, so you will find your brain tells you to slow down be kind to yourself. Wishing you well with your on going recovery, hope the headaches improve and life gets back to near normal very soon for you. It is also such a worrying time for your loved ones, they must be very proud of how well you have done getting back to work to help others. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. Take care Tina.

  14. Hi Rachel A very warm welcome to BTG, glad you found us. Things will get better, it just takes time I am 7 years down the line and I still have good days and bad days. Fatigue is a problem, but I have learnt to know my limits and pace myself and listen to my body. Still catches me out though sometimes ! If your headaches persist I would definitely get it checked out by your GP as Win has suggested. Just for peace of mind. Nice chatting with you and hope the link helps. 22. Hi Jade A very warm welcome to BTG. So very sorry to hear about Todd, a very worrying, scary time for you and his family. Its great news Todd is remaining strong through all the procedures and having all the medical care he needs for his recovery. I did not need the procedure either and like Sarah was given nimodipine. I was clipped. Hope that Sarah's post above has given you hope regarding the vasospasm. I also agree with Sarah's comments regarding searching the internet....sometimes it can just cause more stress and worry for you, that you really don't need. Sending lots of positive vibes your way and wishing Todd well with his on going recovery. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. Take care Tina xx
