paul99 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Share Posted November 20, 2013 hi Michael thank you for your comment I started this thread as a way to stay sane, as I was one my own in a way I hope it gives others the support to never give up I knew when Linda opened her eyes and looked at me and seeing the recognition in her eyes I knew she had come through Linda has kept that focused look in her eyes ever since and even when I took her down to theatres for the last op and begged her not to leave me alone and getting a proper response and crying I knew lin was still fighting thank you but if this is all im going to get that's enough for me because I cant think of life without her im happy scared and just hoping and praying lin is ok Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

paul99 Posted November 25, 2013 Author Share Posted November 25, 2013 hi sweetheart the infection plus the operation took a lot out of lin but today lin celebrated her birthday 65th another one which I never expected to be honest but lin has come through im proud of her big time and today was her day and it felt beautiful. but it hurts me I wanted lin to be healthy still dragging me around our favourite spot and snogging me lin it means so so very much to me im glad she has shown such strength I love her even more. lin has some more jewellery and some satin nightwear and a toy wolf who is sitting on her lap looking at her with its sad eyes and a huge arrangement of flowers, the jewellery has a story to it lin loves watching one of the jewellery programmes and when lin see's something she really likes she growls and if she really loves it the growling gets louder and longer and continues's until I have picked the phone up and ordered it then as a switch is turned off lin goes quite and I must admit when we get it it is stunning and looks fantastic when lin wears it lin doesn't need jewellery because she is a stunning women but when she wears the rings and necklaces wow one stunning girl. lin has an appointment to see the neurosurgeon in feb of next year and he will make his mind up as to if he will put the plate back later in the year but that depends on whether her scar is ok soft and supple so we will have to wait and see hugs and cuddles everyone from the birthday girl and me. paul99 Posted April 11, 2014 Author Share Posted April 11, 2014 hello my dear friends im sorry I haven't posted for such a long time, things have been happening which I would never want to wish on my worst enemy, which pulled me down so far with worry concern and the threat of losing my darling lin. but responding to young Sarah Louise over her last posting and her beautiful reply and the badly needed kick up the backside reminding me that I have many lovely friends on here which in all honesty I did shut out not intentionally I promise because I have been so low because lin is very poorly. now the update lin saw the neurosurgeon in February who is willing to replace the flap but is very concerned about the risk of infection again and has asked lin rehab specialist to advise him when she see's lin for her Botox top up. however lin came down with c diff just after seeing the neurosurgeon and no matter what the gp and the microbiologist has done and advised lin has gone from a size 16 down to a size 10/12 and is very poorly because of it. lin has been bed bound since February bed bath only lin is in isolation most of her clothes have been destroyed the room stripped all her pictures have gone I have to glove up which is not a problem but despite every antibiotic they have given her they have all failed. lin has had her hair washed once in all this time. it hurts so so much seeing lin like this and there is nothing I can do except sit with her and seeing all this weight falling of her we have had to cancel her appointments 6 times already and it looks like im going to have to cancel more in the very near future because of the c diff so please forgive me for not letting you all know until now. after the delightful Sarah Louise giving me the kick I needed a huge huge hug and cuddle darling and a very heartfelt thank you for giving me the motive to come on again thank you and just to prove Sarah has the power I got a phone call this afternoon from the hospital lin had been referred to for the c diff the consultant is coming to see lin on Monday. instead of waiting weeks for an appointment thank you sweetheart again im sorry for shutting you out I didn't realise what I was doing love to you all Paul on behalf of my lin xxx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Our strength will become your strength, just like yours has for many of us. I know that sometimes we all feel like some of our journeys need to be walked alone, but always remember how much you are both loved and respected here. paul99 Posted May 30, 2014 Author Share Posted May 30, 2014 hi everyone im not sure that im in the right place as I couldn't get btg like normal I've had to come via Facebook with grateful thanks to lovely Karen anyway the update is that lin has been in hospital for the last three weeks because of the c diff hence my absence and lin has gone through the mill bless her but today we had the all clear lin is free and on the road I hope to recovery I didn't realise that it was such a complicated illness after two infusions of imuneglobin lin has shaken the bug unfortunately lin cant go back to the home just yet due to the narrow-mindedness of the manager who failed to deep clean her room but im hoping that by Wednesday lin will be back in her room relaxing and going through all her new clothes as the others had to be thrown away due to the intense temperatures during washing and the damage caused and shrinkage im going to go and have a cuppa god bless you all Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
