  5. The Day My Life Changed!

It was 0750 hrs on 25th April 2014, my husband had just left to take our 13yr old daughter to school, then he was heading out for the day to work. I was left at home with my 7yr old daughter getting her ready for school and myself ready for work. Had finished cleaning the kitchen after cooking scrambled egg for breakfast.   What happened next changed my life forever. It is still a blur and I can't remember much. What I do remember was the pain in my head was excruciating never experiencing anything like it before.

  9. Colleen's Story

This Saturday, November 1st, will be six years since an aneurysm in my brain ruptured. Some days it feels like a long time ago. Some days it feels like it will never be long enough ago. I know that I have been totally blessed by God with a miraculous second chance and I know that there are Angels among us. I also know that I am not the same as I was before the aneurysm and never will be again.

  16. Leslie Non-Aneurysm SAH

I had my non-aneurysm SAH in Jan 2013. I blew my nose and my brain exploded. Luckily I had decided to work from home that day. My hubby, Bob is retired and he was out running errands so I was home alone. After my brain exploded I started to throw up and as most of you know the pain was so intense. It took me a little while to get to my phone to call Bob and he got home as soon as he could. He took me to our county hospital- we were very lucky that a doctor over heard Bob telling the nurse what happened. He looked in my eyes and ordered a CT scan right away. He told Bob I had blood on the brain and needed to go to a larger hospital. I went to University of MD Hospital and was there for 2 weeks, no memory of any of it. This is a short version.
